Branded Entertainment Director (12-Month Fixed-Term Contract) | OMD Create

Join OMD Create, the award-winning creative solutions arm of OMD, where we help some of the UK's most recognisable brands create culture-shaping content, partnerships and experiences that drive both audience engagement and business results.

We're looking for an entrepreneurial Branded Development Director to lead our Branded Entertainment offering during a 12-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Head of OMD Create, you'll oversee the strategic direction, creative output and commercial success of branded entertainment across the agency, working with clients including Lidl, Beiersdorf, Noble Foods, Aviva and Channel 4.

As the senior branded entertainment lead within OMD UK, you'll transform business challenges into insight-led content ideas, building partnerships across broadcasters, publishers, platforms, production companies and talent. You'll play a key role in developing innovative content opportunities that are rooted in audience understanding, connected to wider communications strategies and designed to deliver measurable impact.

What you'll do

  • Lead branded entertainment strategy and creative output across a portfolio of clients.
  • Develop and pitch distinctive content partnerships, original IP and co-productions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and planning teams on content strategy, talent, distribution and measurement.
  • Build and manage senior relationships across media owners, talent partners and production companies.
  • Lead commercial negotiations, project scoping, budgeting, forecasting and profitability.
  • Oversee campaign delivery, ensuring projects meet deadlines, objectives and compliance requirements.
  • Coach and develop members of the OMD Create team while leading multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Drive effectiveness measurement, award entries and future growth opportunities.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to grow the Create branded entertainment pipeline, contributing to an ambitious but achievable commercial target.

What you'll bring

  • Significant experience in branded entertainment, content partnerships or entertainment marketing at Director level or equivalent.
  • A track record of creating and delivering standout content-led campaigns, original IP and co-productions.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills with experience managing budgets and partnership agreements.
  • Established relationships across broadcasters, publishers, platforms, production companies, talent and rights holders.
  • Experience building trusted relationships with senior clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong people leadership skills and a passion for developing talent.
  • Knowledge of legal, editorial, compliance and brand safety requirements, including broadcaster regulations.
  • A genuine passion for entertainment, storytelling and creating content audiences actively choose to engage with.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-profile discipline, work with leading brands and shape award-winning entertainment partnerships that make a measurable impact.
