Experience limited to GIS mapping, business analysis, or strategy consulting without telecommunications industry experience will not be considered.

Overview

We are seeking a Broadband Network Strategy & Analytics Manager to support high-impact network expansion initiatives for a leading telecommunications organization.

This role combines network planning, GIS analytics, software development, data engineering, and business strategy. The individual will leverage Python, SQL, GIS technologies, market intelligence, and broadband datasets to identify network growth opportunities and influence where future fiber and broadband investments are made.

The ideal candidate understands both the technical and business sides of broadband expansion. They can build the analysis themselves, develop automated reporting and models, evaluate network opportunities, and translate complex datasets into actionable recommendations for executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze broadband, fiber, and telecommunications datasets to identify network expansion opportunities
Develop Python- and SQL-based analytical models supporting market planning and investment decisions
Build GIS workflows, spatial models, dashboards, and data visualizations
Perform network expansion analysis using customer, subscriber, demographic, and competitive datasets
Evaluate greenfield and overbuild opportunities
Develop ROI and cost-per-passing models
Utilize geospatial analysis to assess market demand and network growth opportunities
Automate data collection, reporting, and decision-support processes
Present recommendations to Engineering, Finance, Strategy, and Executive Leadership teams
Partner with network planning teams to support long-term broadband growth initiatives

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience within the broadband, cable, fiber, or telecommunications industry
Strong Python experience for analytics, automation, and data processing
Strong SQL experience including complex queries, data modeling, and large dataset analysis
Advanced GIS experience utilizing ArcGIS, QGIS, PostGIS, or similar technologies
Experience working with telecom network planning, network expansion, or market planning initiatives
Understanding of fiber and HFC network infrastructure
Experience developing analytical models and business recommendations
Experience translating technical data into executive-level insights
Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
