Description The BRS IT Leader will be responsible for development and support of Bunzl Retail Services (BRS) information technology platforms and processes which include, but are not limited to infrastructure, telecommunications, ERP platforms, applications, and cybersecurity capabilities for the division. In joint alignment with the division and the Office of the CIO, the role will also include developing a long-term technology plan for the region, managing resources, and funding through a prioritization process based on risk-based business cases. The BRS IT Leader will leverage the strategic work performed across the Office of the CIO as inputs to produce a coordinated and consistent plan for the division. The role will report into the CIO while also being a part of the BRS division’s senior business leadership team. Responsibilities: Responsible for the creation and implementation of IT Strategic Plan and Roadmap for the BRS division, which leverages strategic initiatives within the department business units and will take into account future developing technologies across Facilitates the study of new technologies and their applicability to the BRS division’s business plan and the needs of the division for the This includes hardware, software, telecommunications, and development platforms. Responsible for enterprise architecture as it applies to the division, developing and maintaining the architectural blueprint and ensuring architecture is aligned with the division’s operating model, strategic goals, and Develops and recommends new technologies for improved business Conducts long-range planning and project prioritization through risk-based business cases at the request of BRS division by providing resources and personnel to meet their objectives Leads cross-functional project teams. Promotes change in culture and business systems that will ensure achievement of strategic goals within the Supervision and/or Leadership Exercised: Responsible for the full range of supervisory activities including selection, training, evaluation, counseling, and Collect, analyze, and interpret applicable data Keep apprised of relevant technologies to integrate into the long-term strategic vision of the company Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems or Computer Science or other degree related to the job Master’s Degree with concentration in Information Systems or Computer Science 5+ years of managerial experience 5+ years’ experience in information technology related operations or 10+ experience as a senior business professional Three years or more of strategic planning experience which includes technology models and the analytic framework behind these models, strategic initiatives and KPIs Experience with operations and organizational business roles Experience formulating and implementing a technology roadmap and maintaining technical oversight Foundational knowledge of IT systems and Enterprise Architecture supporting business (telecommunications, programming, customer care, mobile, GIS, finance, security, regulatory/compliance,) Experience with and skill in presenting/communicating complex information, emerging technologies, and trends to audiences with varying technical understanding Experience and skill in communication and consultation Knowledge of and skill in applying leadership, consensus building, and coaching techniques Technology specialist experience Skills and Abilities: Leadership and managerial techniques and principles Knowledge of approaches to strategic and technology planning Experience in application of enterprise architecture to guide organizations towards achieving strategic vision Knowledge of fiscal planning and budget preparation; best practices related to change management Skill in handling conflict and uncertain situations Excellent oral and written communication Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritizing Work with frequent interruptions/changes in priorities Quickly recognize and analyze irregular events Bunzl is a global leader in the Cleaning & Hygiene, Food Processing, Grocery, Health Care, Non‑Food Retail, and Safety industries.
