PLEASE NOTE: Hybrid: 2 days per week in the office.

We are looking for a Business Systems Analyst, within the Data Stream.

You will collaborate closely with IT architects, developers, testers, application administrators, and business stakeholders to deliver data management and reporting solutions.

Previous experience in financial services is mandatory, with a focus on finance and/or risk.

Responsibilities:

• Work with business stakeholders to clarify and document requirements.
• Assess feasibility, benefits, and risks, providing recommendations to support decisions.
• Analyse the impact of business requirements on existing systems and the wider IT environment.
• Estimate the effort required for analysis activities.
• Translate business requirements into functional and non-functional specifications.
• Participate in solution design and support development and testing.
• Keep specifications up to date throughout the project, incorporating approved changes.
• Provide post-implementation support to application administrators during stabilization.
• Perform functional and gap analysis during application procurement processes.
• Document requirements for Requests for Proposal (RfPs) and participate in solution evaluations.

Tools / Software Knowledge & Competencies:

• At least 3 years of experience in business and systems analysis, covering projects and ongoing system changes.
• Advanced SQL skills in at least one dialect, such as T-SQL, PL/SQL, or DB2 SQL.
• Previous experience implementing data management solutions, including data warehouses or reporting systems.
• Mandatory experience in financial services, focused on finance and/or risk.
• Experience defining functional and non-functional requirements, performing impact analysis, and supporting solution design.
• Experience with data warehousing, data integration, and Business Intelligence technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with data modelling tools, preferably PowerDesigner, is an advantage.

Education & Soft Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Fluent English.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• An inquisitive mindset and willingness to share ideas and recommendations.
• Clear communication with both business and technical colleagues.
• Good presentation skills.
• Ability to build working relationships based on trust and responsibility.
• A collaborative approach, sense of ownership, and desire to learn and grow.
