Job Description
We are seeking a professional with hands-on Vermilion development experience and a strong understanding of client reporting in the financial services sector. The candidate should be able to solve organizational information problems and needs through identification and analysis of requirements, creation of project and process specifications, design and development of the output.Solve complex system and system-related problems, providing timely and accurate documentation and communication
The Vermilion Developer will support a broad range of client-reporting activities, including gathering business requirements, improving existing reports, and creating new reporting solutions.
The role holder will be accountable for developing Vermilion-based reports and successfully transitioning them to clients. Close collaboration with multiple stakeholders will be essential to deliver high-quality outputs within agreed service-level timelines.
This position is suited to a self-driven and proactive individual who combines strong technical capability with a results-oriented mindset. Experience in financial services, ideally investment banking, together with the ability to manage medium- to large-scale initiatives in a dynamic environment, would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Use a strong working knowledge of VRS development principles and practices to investigate and resolve reporting-related issues.
- Adopt a uniform and structured report-development methodology that improves accuracy, minimizes duplication, and allows for future adaptability.
- Comply with established Vermilion development standards and participate in their ongoing improvement.
- Help define and strengthen best practices and processes that support consistent report development across the Vermilion platform.
- Complete assigned deliverables within agreed timelines and established quality measures.
- Assist the VRS BAU Lead and Project Lead with requirements analysis, effort estimates, solution design, development scheduling, and delivery execution.
- Highlight potential dependencies and impacts involving other departments, products, or projects.
- Prepare technical specification documents promptly and submit them for review by senior team members.
- Confirm that all supporting documentation and operational procedures are completed and approved by the Business.
- Develop effective working relationships with clients, technology partners, and operations teams to understand needs quickly, address issues, recommend solutions, and identify service-enhancement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellent hands-on personal computer and organizational skills, Familiar with advanced features in MS Word, MS PPT Familiar with formulas and complex spreadsheets. Ability to write embedded formulas are essential. Exposure to VBA macro development within MS Excel
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing solutions using Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS).
- Advanced capability in SQL and scripting.
- Well-developed technical analysis skills, including the ability to understand complex data models and reporting needs.
- Practical experience delivering projects through Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of the complete client-reporting process, from initial requirements through production release.
- Ability to evaluate business requirement documents and deliver appropriate solutions within committed timelines.
- Experience designing tailored templates, including connectors, data sources, components, and report sections.
- Experience configuring bespoke workflows, such as obligations, tasks, and process flows.
- Thorough understanding of report production and deployment activities.
- Previous exposure to investment banking reports and related modules.
- Experience partnering with data-mart development teams.
- Strong knowledge of the full development lifecycle, covering business requirements, testing, implementation, and delivery.
- Practical experience with JIRA for sprint planning and development workload management.

In-Office Collaboration
We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. Our employees work in the office at least three (3) days per week, with flexibility to work from home two (2) days per week.
