Role Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Business Analyst to join the Information Management & Technology (IM&T) team.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation and third-party suppliers, the role will bridge the gap between business and IT, ensuring projects deliver meaningful outcomes that support organisational growth, operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to gather, analyse and document business requirements.
- Investigate business challenges and identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, epics and other project documentation.
- Support the delivery of technology and business change initiatives using Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Facilitate workshops, meetings and training sessions to engage stakeholders and support successful project outcomes.
- Analyse business processes and data to recommend innovative, value-adding solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with project teams, third-party technology suppliers and IM&T colleagues to support successful solution design and implementation.
- Produce high-quality documentation and ensure project deliverables meet agreed standards for quality, scope and business value.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by applying business analysis techniques, process improvement methodologies and best practice.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst, with strong skills in stakeholder management, requirements gathering and business process analysis.
- Experience working within Agile environments, including writing user stories, facilitating workshops and participating in Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence influencing and engaging stakeholders at different levels across an organisation.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs.
- Experience using business analysis and process-mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio and Azure DevOps.
- A collaborative and innovative approach, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and delivering high-quality business outcomes.
Desirable
- A recognised Business Analysis qualification, such as BCS, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge or experience of process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Experience supporting technology-enabled business change and working with third-party technology suppliers.
