Business Analyst

Description

The Business Analyst (Sr. BA) will support and advance strategic initiatives focused on Shipment Tracking , Project44, and other transportation platforms. This role plays a central part in enhancing shipment visibility, real-time tracking capabilities, and operational insights across transportation and distribution networks. The Sr. BA will collaborate with transportation, supply chain, data, and IT teams to drive solution enhancements, optimize data flow and tracking accuracy, and influence product roadmaps that support visibility modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for Shipment Tracking ,Project44, and supply chain visibility solutions.

Lead requirements, process analysis, and enhancement efforts for Shipment Tracking and Visibility initiatives.

Partner with transportation and logistics teams to improve shipment tracking accuracy, milestone visibility, alerting, and reporting.

Work closely with visibility vendors (e.g., Project 44) to identify issues, assess new features, support integration improvements, and manage solution enhancements.

Analyze upstream and downstream system impacts within visibility, TMS(transportation management systems, WMS(Warehouse Management Systems), and carrier integrations ( ODFL, Penske, FedEx, any new Fleet provider integrations).

Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, demos, and retrospectives.

Drive capacity planning and capacity prediction to ensure realistic sprint commitments.

Facilitate alignment among Product Owners, developers, and testers to ensure Shipment Tracking and visibility initiatives progress predictably.

Prepare and maintain clear, structured user stories and acceptance criteria that support visibility platform enhancements.

Execute comprehensive business analysis processes, including requirements elicitation and documentation.

Coordinate and lead UAT for Shipment Tracking, and other visibility-related deliverables.

Support functional testing as required for visibility and shipment tracking enhancements.

Support production deployments, release activities, and post-deployment validation as needed.

Serve as liaison across IT, business stakeholders, and external partners.

Required Qualifications & Skills

5+ years of Business Analysis experience.

35 years of experience in Agile environments with user story and acceptance criteria development.

Strong analytical and project management skills.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across business and IT teams.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Jira and Outlook.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

Experience Transportation, Logistics, Project44, or other shipment visibility tools.

Understanding of real-time tracking, carrier integrations, milestone events, shipment exceptions, and visibility analytics.

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).

SOAR shipment real time tracking application. Forms the middleware or core component which drives all shipment tracking for their transportation systems. Leveraged by medical and pharma segments. Integration with a lot of downstream teams.

This BA will be focused on SOAR aspect of deliverables. More projects coming in from medical segment. Direct connections between SOAR and carriers.

BA who is technically sound this component mapping decisions that this BA has to play a significant role.

Mapping looking at data schema that comes in from carrier directs. What our internal component is capable of. Source to target mapping.

Ramp up time needs to be minimal (domain knowledge required)

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.
