Job Description
Do you enjoy modeling data and communicating internationally? Do you want to help plan the seamless production of medicines for millions of people worldwide?
Business Analyst (Production Simulation and Modeling)
Imagine your analytical models directly impacting how quickly and efficiently life-saving medicines and vaccines reach patients worldwide. In our Prague IT hub, we do not just do theoretical work – we build the digital foundation for real-time decision-making. We are looking for a Business Analyst to help us drive our advanced modeling and simulation capabilities. Your mission will be to transform complex manufacturing data into precise simulation scenarios that determine which activities happen, in what order, and how efficiently they run across our facilities.
You will closely collaborate with teams across our global Human Health network, with a planned expansion into Animal Health in the coming years. If you want to see the immediate impact of your work on a global scale and enjoy finding optimal solutions in a multinational environment, this is a role where your analysis truly matters.
What you will do in this role:
- Analyze and model production processes: Create digital models of our manufacturing equipment that accurately capture resources, constraints, and site-specific details.
- Enable real-time planning: Leverage our specialized RTS system for real-time scheduling and optimize the sequencing of manufacturing activities.
- Use Discrete Event Simulation (DES): Utilize simulation techniques to analyze parallel operations, predict bottlenecks, and improve overall production flow.
- Integrate data sources and visualize outputs: Connect simulation models with live manufacturing and enterprise systems (SAP, MES, PI Historian, SQL databases) and build reports or visualizations in Power BI.
- Collaborate globally in Agile: Help stakeholders across our global Human Health and Animal Health network, work in an agile setup using Jira, and standardize modeling practices.
What you should have:
- 2+ years experience with modeling and simulation: Experience with or a solid understanding of Discrete Event Simulation (DES) and process modeling concepts.
- Data and systems savvy: Practical understanding of SQL databases and the ability to work with data from manufacturing systems (such as MES or PI).
- Analytical mindset: The ability to translate complex manufacturing processes into structured models and clearly define business requirements.
- Communication in English: Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with diverse international teams across our global network.
What we offer:
- Exciting work in a great team, global projects, and the international environment of our Prague IT hub.
- Opportunities for professional learning and growth within the company on a global scale.
- Hybrid work model and flexible role setup.
- Competitive salary and motivational bonus scheme.
- Pension and life insurance contributions.
- Internal referral program and recognition system.
- 5 weeks of vacation, 5 sick days, 15 days of certified sick leave fully covered beyond legal requirements per year, 40 hours of paid volunteering time per year, and 12 weeks of parental contribution.
- Cafeteria plan for tax-advantaged benefits of your choice (meal vouchers, sports, culture, health, travel, etc.), and a Multisport card.
- Discount programs (Vodafone, Raiffeisen Bank, Foodora, and more).
- Modern laptop and iPhone.
Garage parking, showers, refreshments, massage chairs, a library, and a music corner directly in the building.
