The Opportunity


Status: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Mississauga, Ontario

This position is based at our Mississauga, Ontario office within Abbott’s Diabetes Care Division and requires on‑site presence four days per week, with the option to work remotely one day.


As Business Analyst …

The purpose of this role is to turn sales and business data into meaningful insights that support better decision-making. The role manages key reporting and analytics tools and supports sales performance through incentive compensation, target setting, segmentation, and field alignment. It works closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and leadership to identify trends and opportunities and provide relevant analysis. The role also ensures teams have accurate, timely, and useful information to effectively manage and improve business performance

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Incentive Compensation programs, including plan administration, payout calculations, sales contest modeling, performance tracking, and recognition program reporting.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain business intelligence reporting, dashboards, KPIs, and analytical tools, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery across MicroStrategy and other BI platforms
  • Deliver business, sales, retail, and financial analysis that identifies performance drivers, trends, opportunities, and actionable insights to support commercial decision-making.
  • Lead and support sales target setting, customer segmentation, field-force alignment, and territory performance tracking to optimize commercial execution.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Key Accounts, Finance, and leadership teams to identify key business questions, translate data into strategic insights, and provide recommendations to support business objectives
  • Develop analytical content and executive-ready business reviews, including QDRs and sales management/regional meeting materials.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc performance reporting and analysis, including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end business updates.
  • Administer and continuously improve MicroStrategy and other BI/reporting tools, including data-quality validation, dashboard maintenance, user support, and adoption
  • Develop and deliver field training on reporting tools, performance metrics, dashboards, and effective use of business insights
  • Support data governance and field-force effectiveness activities, including alignment reviews, audits, and maintenance of accurate sales organization information

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Undergraduate degree in Business or Science
  • Minimum 4 years
  • Experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g. IMS Market dynamics, IMS Rx Dynamics, TSA, PharmaStat, Xponent), including knowledge of prescribing data, account level sales data and patient utilization data
  • Possessing strong business acumen and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Cognos PowerPlay, PowerBI, Microstrategy and Excel models

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $87,000 to $127,600 CAD. The salary range provided applies to Canada only and does not apply to any other locations outside of Canada.
