Business Analyst - Finance and Accounting

Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually BUSINESS ANALYST - FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING JOB SUMMARY The Business Analyst supports financial planning, analysis, and forecasting that enable disciplined, informed decision-making across Miles Partnership. This role partners with Finance leadership and client leaders to translate operational activity into accurate budgets, forecasts, and performance insights that reflect business realities. With strong analytical and accounting fundamentals, the Business Analyst produces clear variance analysis, surfaces risks and opportunities, and ensures financial plans remain aligned to execution through consistent validation, documentation, and reporting. WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR Financially grounded analyst with strong accounting and analytical fundamentals Detail-oriented operator who values accuracy, documentation, and consistency Clear communicator able to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders Organized contributor comfortable managing multiple accounts, projects, and deadlines Curious, improvement-minded professional focused on strengthening processes and understanding KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Consolidate and analyze financial data, including budgets, forecasts, and income statements Partner with account teams to develop client budgets and monthly forecasts Track financial performance by comparing actual results against plans and forecasts Identify trends, variances, and risks; provide clear explanations and recommendations Assemble and present financial insights through reports and dashboards Support financial modeling, benchmarking, and scenario analysis Month-end close functions, including revenue recognition, journal entries and client invoicing Reconcile transactions and resolve data discrepancies with appropriate documentation Ensure financial data integrity through validation, review, and controls Maintain and expand knowledge of accounting standards, systems, and internal processes REQUIREMENTS 2–5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or related roles Strong accounting and analytical foundation; experience working with GL data Experience supporting budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis Proficiency with financial systems and reporting tools (NetSuite strongly preferred) Advanced Excel or spreadsheet modeling skills Ability to synthesize multiple data sources into clear insights Strong organization, communication, and stakeholder partnership skills Experience in fast-paced, multi-account, or agency environments preferred COMPENSATION: $80,000 - $90,000 DOE Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision 401k matching contribution Generous paid time off compensation Flexible work schedule Paid volunteer opportunities and company supported charitable events Collaborative, creative and fun team environment with professional growth opportunities WORK LOCATION & TRAVEL This is a primarily remote position for U.S.-based candidates , with optional hybrid or in-office opportunities in Lakewood, Colorado, and Sarasota, Florida. Expected travel: Up to 10% including client meetings, conferences, team gatherings, and/or industry events.
