Show job description
Guardian Service is recruiting a select group of high-potential professionals to help build the next major player in insurance.

Our two-year Business Builder Program is for people who have excelled early in their careers, bring strong analytical skills, and want to turn ideas into results. You’ll work directly with senior leaders on priorities that matter to the company’s growth, taking responsibility for both the thinking and the execution.

Over two years, you’ll work across different functional areas of Guardian Service. Your engagements will reflect your talents, interests, development, and business needs. You could help launch a product, improve sales performance, build a better member experience, or evaluate opportunities to expand into new markets.

Alongside the work, you’ll receive regular feedback, mentorship from a leader outside your reporting line, and opportunities to learn and build relationships with a cohort of talented peers. The goal is to develop the judgment and operating experience to lead a function or build something new within the business.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Own meaningful business priorities. Partner with a functional leader to define a problem, establish success measures, and take the work from analysis through implementation.
  • Turn insights into action. Use financial, operational, and customer data to identify opportunities, test ideas, and measure results.
  • Build with AI. Experiment with AI and automation to improve processes, develop tools, and bring new ideas to market faster.
  • Work across teams. Collaborate with colleagues in technology, marketing, sales, member experience, people, and partnerships to move shared priorities forward.
  • Help the business grow. Depending on your engagement, improve agent productivity, test a marketing campaign, strengthen frontline hiring and retention, or evaluate carrier and market expansion opportunities.
  • Communicate clearly. Translate complex findings into practical recommendations and keep partners aligned on decisions, progress, and next steps.
  • Learn from the work. Seek feedback from your manager and mentor, and share progress with your cohort every two weeks.

About You

  • A bachelor’s degree and a record of strong academic and professional performance.
  • Experience in an analytically rigorous environment, such as consulting, investment banking, investing, a well-regarded analyst program, or startup strategy and operations.
  • Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bring structure to an unfamiliar challenge.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative, exercises sound judgment, and follows through.
  • Excited to contribute as an individual contributor, working closely with leaders while taking personal responsibility for execution.
  • Curious about how businesses work and motivated to build, test, and improve things.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to adapt as priorities evolve.
  • A clear communicator who builds relationships and works effectively across teams.
  • Eager to use AI in practical ways and learn new tools.
  • Insurance experience is welcome, but not required.

Why You Should Join Us

  • A business with momentum. Guardian Service has grown monthly new insurance sales more than 45× in 15 months, with new products and markets ahead.
  • Ownership from the start. Work on priorities that directly affect company performance and see the results of your decisions.
  • Access to experienced leaders. Learn directly from people who have built businesses, led teams, and managed growth.
  • Breadth with purpose. Gain exposure to different functions through meaningful engagements shaped around your strengths and the business’s needs.
  • Intentional leadership development. Receive weekly manager feedback, monthly mentorship, quarterly external speakers, and an annual cohort retreat.
  • A community to grow alongside. Build relationships through cohort share-outs, monthly social gatherings, and shared experiences.
  • Opportunity beyond the program. Build toward broader operating responsibility based on your performance, strengths, interests, and opportunities within Guardian Service.
