EPAM is seeking an accomplished, visionary director level Business Consulting Principal with a stellar track record of leading large-scale engagements, driving commercial growth, advising C-suite executives, and supporting practice growth.
Embedded within our Energy business unit, you leverage your deep expertise in business transformation, operational excellence, and enterprise-wide digital strategy to guide top-tier energy clients through complex industry evolutions. As a traditional business consultant operating in the Energy domain, you focus on organizational strategy, process re-engineering, large-scale program leadership, and unlocking commercial value by seamlessly integrating consulting rigor with EPAM’s world-class engineering capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Practice & P&L Leadership: Drive the strategic growth, financial performance, and capability expansion of the Energy Business Consulting practice
- C-Suite Advisory & Relationship Management: Act as a senior trusted advisor to C-level executives (CEO, COO, CIO, CDO) at global energy enterprises, navigating complex organizational dynamics and steering multi-million-dollar transformation programs
- Commercial Growth & Sales Leadership: Spearhead business development initiatives, spearhead strategic proposal development, lead high-stakes oral presentations, and drive account expansion across key energy accounts
- Program Governance: Oversee delivery governance across major consulting workstreams, ensuring high client satisfaction, quality execution, risk mitigation, and target value realization
- Thought Leadership & Innovation: Champion innovative consulting methodologies, stay ahead of industry trends (such as AI adoption and digital operating models), and represent the firm externally through speaking engagements and publications
- Talent Development: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-caliber team of Senior Managers, Managers, and Consultants, fostering an inclusive and empowering culture
Requirements
- Experience: 12–15+ years of progressive professional experience, with a substantial portion (8+ years) spent in leadership roles within top-tier management consulting firms, Big Four, or boutique advisory firms
- Consulting & Leadership Track Record: Demonstrated success in scaling a consulting practice, hitting commercial targets, and leading multi-disciplinary, global delivery teams
- Domain & Industry Acumen: Solid understanding of the business challenges facing the Energy & Utilities sector, combined with deep mastery of core business consulting disciplines (change management, operating model design, post-merger integration, process optimization)
- Technology Fluency: Ability to advise clients on leveraging advanced technologies (Cloud, Data & AI, Enterprise Platforms) to achieve business outcomes
- Executive Presence: Outstanding executive communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to command a room of C-suite executives
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred
