Position Summary

Global Technology Risk and Regulatory Management is seeking a self-starter who will support Issues management and is motivated, passionate, thrives in a fast-paced culture, balances priorities, drives delivery, executes flawlessly, and enjoys team success.

This role provides the opportunity to work with peers across CIO teams within Global Technology and gain exposure to senior technology leaders.

The Technology Risk & Regulatory Issues Officer will support activities that oversee and monitor GT Issues Management throughout the lifecycle, including action plan development, validation, approval review, and reporting.

The role supports functions and routines that drive robust and sustainable Issues Management engagement across the technology team while ensuring adherence to enterprise standards.

The candidate will partner with peers and leadership to apply subject matter expertise and support a

culture of risk identification, escalation, and timely mitigation.

They will solve problems analytically by applying risk and technology expertise throughout

the issues lifecycle. The role engages all levels of the organization and requires strong communication and leadership skills, including the ability to effectively engage senior internal and external stakeholders to ensure

awareness of risks and impacts.

The candidate must drive collaboration across Technology, Operations, Audit, GCOR, GIS, and management teams to identify

opportunities to improve Issue Lifecycle management.

This position is responsible for monitoring, tracking, and reporting risk reduction across technology teams while ensuring alignment with enterprise policies and standards. Applies technical knowledge to support risk management activities, including issue and control enhancement identification, documentation, and remediation. Develops and maintains resources for technical risk officers and risk leads to support execution of risk responsibilities. The role requires strong communication and leadership skills and the ability to collaborate across organizations to improve controls and reduce risk.

Responsibilities include:

Integrate and analyze data from multiple sources, draw conclusions, and provide written recommendations within required formats

Influence stakeholders, gather information, challenge and interrogate data, and collaborate across multiple lines of business

Produce reporting on critical risk, performance, and operational measures

Partner with stakeholders, data providers, and teams across the enterprise to gather key data and metrics for Global Technology and enterprise scorecards

Evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile variances, and present complex data in a clear manner tailored to varied audiences

Challenge and interrogate data for inconsistencies

Collaborate with technology and business partners to develop and implement future-state reporting routines and enhance existing processes

Respond to senior executive requests for metric information and analysis

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of internal control, regulatory, audit, risk, legal or compliance experience within a financial services or technology organization.
  • Can research and "connect the dots" among data to demonstrate ability to identify and perform thematic analysis
  • Strong relationship management and collaboration skills with the ability to influence, build consensus among stakeholders and peers to solve problems
  • Comfortable with ambiguous situations capable of analyzing, simplifying and collaborating to solve complex problems
  • Self-starter, organized, versatile, and capable of performing work in a fast with minimal management oversight
  • Strong writing/communication skills, the ability to synthesize technical content from subject matter experts to clearly articulated complex subject matters to a variety of audiences
  • Detail oriented with an ability to review documentation for accuracy and relevance to topic
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and often competing priorities in a global and fast paced environment.
  • Executes timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently
  • Proven facilitation and presentation skills: ability to present key messages, recommendations and information in a clear, concise and insightful way including to senior leaders
  • Ability to project manage work; strong attention to detail, accuracy and understanding prioritization within an environment where majority of issues are a priority
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically PowerPoint and Word, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Technology Domain discipline(s)
  • general knowledge of Opus/CoPilot and ability to decipher results coming out of any AI tool.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and/or Masters degree and/or relevant work experience
  • CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CISM certification or similar
  • Prior operational risk or compliance experience in the technology arena
  • Detailed, bank-specific risk management and governance experience.
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
