🚀 Join Orbital Eye as a Business Developer Energy Infrastructure At Orbital Eye, we help pipeline and grid operators protect critical infrastructure using satellite imagery, AI, and geospatial technology. Our COSMIC-EYE platform continuously monitors thousands of kilometers of critical infrastructure worldwide, helping operators identify potential threats before they become incidents. As critical infrastructure becomes increasingly important to society, we believe continuous visibility is becoming essential for safer, more reliable, and more sustainable operations. Since 2012, we have been pioneering satellite-powered infrastructure monitoring, supporting operators across Europe and beyond in safeguarding the networks that keep our societies running. Our team of around 40 people, representing 15 nationalities, is scaling towards 80+ across Europe and the US. As we grow, we are building the foundations of a mature organization- and that is where you come in. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Business Developer Energy Infrastructure to help shape the next phase of our expansion. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with our leadership team and play a key role in identifying, validating, and developing new markets, industries, and growth opportunities for Orbital Eye. 🌍 Why This Role Matters The demand for infrastructure monitoring is growing rapidly. While we have established a strong position in the pipeline sector, we see significant opportunities for deploying our technology across additional critical infrastructure industries, including electricity grids, datacables, critical area-monitoring, telecommunications infrastructure, and insurance. As Business Developer New Markets, you will help determine where Orbital Eye grows next. You will identify opportunities, engage potential customers and partners, test market assumptions, and help translate market insights into commercial success. 🔭 Your Role As a key member of our commercial team, you will: Bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Geography, International Business, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in business development, consulting, commercial strategy, or partnerships. A relevant network in the electricity or energy infrastructure sector is a strong plus. Strong commercial instincts and the ability to identify and develop new opportunities. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. An entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to take ownership. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Full professional proficiency in English. Additional European languages are a strong advantage. Interest in technology, infrastructure, sustainability, and innovation. Takes ownership of go-to-market in new verticals, from first contact to signed contract. Netherlands-based, with an average of 50% of your working time at our Delft office, the rest split between (international) travel and working from home. Build relationships with prospective customers, strategic partners, regulators, and industry stakeholders. Support market-entry strategies and commercial growth initiatives. Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities in new markets and regions. Represent Orbital Eye at conferences, exhibitions, and industry events. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making. Collaborate closely with our commercial, product, operations, and leadership teams. Help shape the future commercial direction of Orbital Eye. 🚀 What We're Looking For • A bachelor's or master's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Geography, International Business, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in business development, consulting, commercial strategy, partnerships, or a similar role. • Strong commercial instincts and the ability to identify and develop new opportunities. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • An existing network in the electricity or broader energy infrastructure market is a big advantage. • An entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to take ownership. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. • Full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken). • Additional European languages are considered an advantage. • Interest in technology, infrastructure, sustainability, and innovation. • Willingness to travel internationally when required.
