We usually respond within a week Department: Business Development Reports to: Business Development Support Manager Salary: up to £27K DOE Location: Manchester / Hybrid The Opportunity As our Business Development Administrator, you'll play a critical role in supporting the progression of new business opportunities across electricity, water and heat network adoption. Working closely with our Business Development Managers, you'll ensure new enquiries are accurately captured, processed and progressed through each stage of the journey in line with internal processes. You'll help coordinate new projects from initial enquiry through to handover, making sure information is complete, accurate and managed efficiently. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain visibility across the full business development lifecycle, develop your understanding of utility infrastructure projects and make a valuable contribution to the continued growth of the business. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support to the Sales and Business Development team. Take ownership of the new enquiry process, ensuring all enquiries are logged, tracked, and progressed in accordance with internal procedures and governance requirements. Maintain and manage accurate project and client information within the CRM system, ensuring data integrity and pipeline visibility. Support the preparation, distribution, and tracking of project documentation, proposals, and sales materials. Support and administer NAV and utility adoption processes, tracking milestones and proactively highlighting risks or delays. Provide timely administrative support and updates for and internal stakeholders. Assist with reporting on sales activity, pipeline status, and key performance metrics as required. Support continuous improvement of internal sales processes, documentation, and administrative systems. Measures of Success New enquiries are managed promptly and professionally, with clear visibility of progress at every stage. CRM records are accurate, up to date, and trusted as the single source of project and client information. Sales and adoption projects move forward smoothly because of your proactive coordination and administration. Stakeholders value your responsiveness, organisation, and ability to keep activities on track. Reporting is accurate, timely, and provides clear insight into pipeline performance and activity. You continuously find ways to improve how we work, making processes simpler and more effective for the wider team. About You Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and DocuSign. Comfortable working with CRM systems and managing structured project data. Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to deadlines with accuracy. An interest in infrastructure, utilities, or commercial environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
