The team works closely with farmers, agribusinesses, universities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to bring scientific research and technology into real-world agricultural applications. About the Role We're looking for a Business Development Analyst to act as a bridge between the company's research, technology, and the organisations that fund and use it. This is a high-ownership role for someone who can read technical information, understand what matters, and translate it into clear proposals, partnerships, grant applications, and commercial opportunities. You will work closely with research and product teams while engaging with agribusinesses, universities, growers, cooperatives, NGOs, and funding organisations. You don't need a science degree, but you should be genuinely curious about agriculture, sustainability, and technology. Responsibilities Agribusiness & Partner Development Work with agribusinesses, input distributors, and large growers to understand their needs and translate them into clear briefs for internal teams. Build proposals, one-pagers, and simple ROI models connecting products and solutions to partner economics, including yield, input costs, and crop value. Support trial partnerships with universities and commercial growers, including coordinating protocols, data collection, and follow-up. Grant Writing & Funding Identify and track relevant grant and funding opportunities across innovation, agriculture, climate, sustainability, and development programmes. Write and assemble competitive grant proposals by combining research, trial data, and impact narratives into clear, reviewer-ready documents. Manage submission calendars, eligibility requirements, co-applicants, deadlines, and post-award reporting. Partnerships & Ecosystem Development Develop relationships with farmer cooperatives, grower associations, agricultural NGOs, universities, and other ecosystem partners. Help expand the company's work and solutions to a wider network of agricultural stakeholders. Package research and technical information into accessible formats without losing accuracy or rigour. Qualifications 2–5 years of experience in business development, grant writing, agribusiness, AgriTech, development or NGO programmes, technical consulting, or related fields. Strong recent graduates with the right aptitude and interest may also be considered. Ability to read technical material and translate it for non-technical, commercial, and funding audiences. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders. Comfortable with numbers, including building simple ROI models, interpreting trial results, and summarising data. Comfortable using AI tools in day-to-day work. Genuine interest in regenerative agriculture, soil health, sustainability, or agricultural innovation. Nice to Have Background in agronomy, agricultural economics, environmental science, or a related field. Existing relationships with cooperatives, universities, agribusinesses, NGOs, or funding bodies. Experience using grant management, CRM, or project management tools.
