Who we are:
Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Business Development Coordinator Intern to help launch and grow the Geotab Fleet Card. This position will support the business side of reseller and customer engagement for the card: tracking applications and enrollments, preparing outreach, and working with our sales channels and payments partners to turn interest into active, spending customers. If you love technology, are curious about how fleets buy fuel and manage costs, and want to join an industry leader at the launch of a new product, we would love to hear from you!
What you'll do:
As a Business Development Coordinator Intern, your key area of responsibility will be helping the Fleet Card team move opportunities from first interest to a completed application and first transaction. You will support reseller and direct customer outreach, keep the opportunity pipeline accurate, and help us understand what is working. Typical projects include tracking card applications and follow-ups, matching prospects to Salesforce accounts and contacts, preparing outreach drafts and sales materials, and building reports on adoption and pipeline.
You will work closely with the Fleet Card extended team, Geotab Sales Channels (Partner Account Managers and Sales Specialists), Marketing, Solution Engineering, Resellers/Partners, and our card and payments partners. To be successful in this role you will be detail oriented, able to multitask, and a strong written communicator. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong analytical skills and a solid background in Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel, which our team uses for reporting.
The opportunity:
- 8 - 12 month work-term beginning January 2027.
- Full-time, paid internship: Monday - Friday, 37.5hrs/week.
- Your first week at Geotab begins with 'GEO Launch' - a one-week Employee Orientation. Click here to learn more!

- This posting is for an existing vacancy.
How you'll make an impact:
- Track Fleet Card applications and enrollments, and help follow up with applicants who started but did not finish.
- Maintain the Fleet Card opportunity tracker, including enterprise, government and reseller-sourced opportunities, and keep Salesforce records accurate.
- Research and build prospect lists by segment, size and fuel-spend profile, honoring exclusion rules (existing card customers, account owner coverage and partner conflicts).
- Prepare and QA outreach drafts, invitations and follow-up sequences for review by the team before they are sent.
- Coordinate the aggregation of sales, training and enablement materials for internal stakeholders, resellers and end customers, communicating the business problems the card solves.
- Work with Partner Account Managers and resellers to drive Fleet Card adoption and expand existing opportunities.
- Build weekly reporting on applications, activations, credit lines and pipeline, and highlight trends and risks to the team.
- Support marketing launch activity, including in-product campaigns, email and social content, and measure their results.
- Support RFP and bid preparation by gathering data, drafting responses and checking details for accuracy.
- Assist the VP with needs across the team and support our team goals and mission.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain or a related field.
- Experience in sales operations, business development, project coordination or a similar area (internships and coursework count).
- Ability to understand customers' business needs; interest in fleet operations, fuel costs or fintech is a plus.
- High accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent proofreading and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to problem solve and make well-judged decisions.
- Technical competence with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) and/or Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Salesforce or another CRM is an asset.
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and projects and respond to fast-changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- A team player with an entrepreneurial mindset who is comfortable in a flat organization.
