Business Development Executive, Malaysia
Location: Remote, Malaysia·Type: Full-time·Pay: RM 2,000–2,500 / month·Team: Business Development
Floowpay builds invoicing and payment workflow tools for Malaysian SMEs. We help small businesses manage invoices, customer records, payment follow-up, and LHDN/MyInvois readiness. We're looking for someone based in Malaysia to help us reach more SME owners, bookkeepers, accountants, and business admins as we grow.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys talking to people, learning how businesses work, and helping small businesses find tools that actually help them. You'll find relevant SMEs, start conversations, introduce the product clearly, and support early users as they figure out whether Floowpay fits their workflow.
It's a good fit if you're early in your career in business development, customer support, fintech, SaaS, SME services, accounting admin, or field sales, and you want to grow alongside an early-stage product.
What you'll do
We work in a sensitive space — invoicing, business records, payments, and LHDN/MyInvois readiness. Honest, clear communication matters here. You'll use approved messaging and pass any tax, legal, accounting, or compliance questions to the right person. You won't be expected to give tax, legal, or accounting advice.

What you'll do
- Find and reach out to Malaysian SMEs — business owners, bookkeepers, accountants, agencies, clinics, suppliers, training providers, and service businesses.
- Connect through WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook groups, referrals, and local communities.
- Introduce Floowpay clearly and explain how it can help with invoicing, customer records, payment follow-up, and readiness.
- Set up short product chats or invoice-workflow review calls with interested people.
- Support early users through signup, onboarding, and their first invoices.
- Keep simple notes of leads, conversations, follow-ups, and questions.
- Share what customers tell you with the rest of the team.
- Pass product, technical, payment, or compliance questions to the right person.
- Based in Malaysia.
- Comfortable communicating in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- At ease talking with SME owners, business admins, bookkeepers, and accountants.
- Confident with WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Google Sheets.
- Good at listening and following up, and organised enough to keep clear notes.
- Able to explain a software product simply and honestly.
- Happy working in an early-stage environment where learning and feedback matter.
- Mandarin, Tamil, or Chinese dialects used in Malaysian business communities.
- Experience in business development, sales, support, SaaS, fintech, SME services, accounting admin, bookkeeping, invoicing, or field sales.
- An existing network of SME owners, bookkeepers, accountants, or service businesses in Malaysia.
- Experience with outreach, product demos, onboarding, customer interviews, or lead tracking.
