Business Development & Lead Generation Specialist Location: Fully remote (South Africa based) About the Role Outsource Ability is recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a growing SaaS company serving the construction industry, for a Business Development & Lead Generation Specialist. This role sits at the front end of the sales process — identifying prospects, engaging them across LinkedIn and phone, appointment setting with leads who've responded to outreach, and building a well-managed pipeline that supports the wider sales team. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates based in South Africa. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Lead Generation LinkedIn outreach (connection requests, messaging, follow-ups) Phone outreach / cold calling to prospects in the construction industry Appointment setting: calling leads who have responded to an email, LinkedIn message, or other outreach, to book them in Building and managing a pipeline of prospects Campaign & Process Optimisation A/B testing of outreach approaches (copy, channels, sequences) Optimising copy and messaging for the target audience Using CRM tools (e.g. HubSpot) to track conversations, log activities, and keep an organised record of leads and follow-ups Support for Sales Process Booking meetings/demos for the sales team to take forward Handing over warm, qualified leads and maintaining pipeline visibility General support to the sales team as required What We're Looking For Experience in business development, lead generation, or sales development Confidence with cold calling, appointment setting, and LinkedIn-based outreach Familiarity with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot Strong written communication, adaptable to different audiences SaaS or construction industry exposure is a plus, not essential Requirements Based in South Africa Own laptop Own headset Stable, reliable internet connection Backup power supply (e.g. UPS, inverter, or generator) to manage loadshedding/power outages
