Business Development Leader 【R&D Division】

Kirin Holdings’ R&D is accelerating toward its vision of becoming an "R&D Excellence Company." As part of this evolution, we have newly established a Technology Management function within our R&D Division to drive global business development, tech-think-tank initiatives, and strategic PR.

In this high-impact leadership role, you will bridge the gap between cutting-edge science and commercial execution. You will lead global technology scouting and design business models to tackle massive global challenges—such as climate change resiliency, sustainable packaging, and next-generation health sciences. Key Responsibilities

• Global Tech Scouting & Analysis: Proactively identify breakthrough technology seeds, conduct competitive analysis, and evaluate tech trends globally.
• Business Model Design & Execution: Bridge the gap between R&D and commercial business units, formulating robust business plans and driving co-projects with marketing to commercialize research achievements.
• Strategic Communications: Lead comprehensive public relations for new technologies, including designing and hosting global tech exhibitions, symposiums, and cross-border seminars.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bilingual catalyst, translating complex scientific research into strategic business language to align internal and external stakeholders across the APAC and North American markets.

Required Qualifications (MUST)

• R&D Background: 5+ years of experience in Research & Development, with a solid understanding of scientific protocols, hypothesis testing, and technology evaluation.
• Business Development: Proven experience in business development, including driving tech seeds to commercialization or designing business schemes/frameworks.
• English Proficiency: Native-level or equivalent English proficiency, demonstrated by either being a native English speaker, having professional, academic, or living experience in an English-speaking country, or achieving a TOEIC score of 900 or above.
• People Management: Demonstrated experience in people management, including leading teams and building consensus in complex organizational environments.

Conditions & Perks

• Salary: ¥8,000,000 – ¥12,500,000 JPY (Commensurate with experience; includes bonuses. No overtime pay for managerial positions).
• Location: Nakano, Tokyo. (Note: Role includes potential future reassignment/relocation within the group, including overseas).
• Work Style: Flextime system (no core hours) with hybrid/remote work options. Indoor non-smoking policy (designated smoking room available).
• Time Off: 123 annual days off (Weekends + National Holidays), plus up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (granted immediately upon joining).
