Business Development Manage
Black Men In Clinical ResearchRole Description The Business Development Manager is a part-time, remote role focused on expanding BMICR’s partnerships, programs, and revenue-generating opportunities. In this role, the individual will identify and pursue new business opportunities with sponsors, CROs, academic institutions, and other industry organizations, as well as maintain and grow existing relationships. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and outreach, conducting discovery meetings, preparing proposals and partnership packages, and supporting contract discussions in collaboration with leadership. The Business Development Manager will also track sales operations activities, maintain a pipeline of opportunities, analyze performance data, and provide regular reports and recommendations to inform strategic planning. This role works closely with internal teams to align business development efforts with BMICR’s mission, community needs, and long-term goals.

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to evaluate opportunities, interpret data, and support evidence-based business decisions.
- Candidates should possess Business Planning skills to develop growth strategies, set measurable goals, and manage partner engagement plans.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to conduct professional outreach, deliver presentations, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to nurture partner relationships, respond to inquiries, and ensure a high-quality experience for sponsors and collaborators.
- Candidates should possess Sales Operations skills to manage pipelines, track activity, support contract processes, and coordinate follow-up actions.
- Relevant experience in business development, partnerships, fundraising, or sales within healthcare, clinical research, or nonprofit sectors is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is preferred.
