We are a global market leader in hearing healthcare and are currently looking for a highly energetic hearing care professional to join our team. The Role: We are currently looking for a full-time Business Development Manager that would be responsible for driving business growth in our team. The role will own a sales territory and focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, developing new sales opportunities, meeting territory sales goals, and representing the Company in an exemplary and professional manner. The BDM will also provide a high level of technical customer service, clinical support and product training for our customers. This role will be field based (home office) with significant travel throughout the territory. Major duties and accountabilities include: Responsible for growing/maintaining existing business and developing new business through competitive conversions and market share gains. Responsible for meeting annual sales quotas and associated sales metrics. Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers such as clinic owners, dispensers, and audiologists to achieve territory sales goals and to leverage additional opportunities. Maintain CRM database of customer contacts and information including appointments, call notes, and all other relevant information to maintain accurate and up to date CRM. Build an annual business plan for the territory outlining how the territory will be successful. Present this plan and other updates (QBRs) as needed to RSM, Director of Sales and other relevant participants. Responsible for preparing and conducting technical presentations and demonstrations when appropriate. Evaluate territory performance against established objectives and guidelines (such as sales forecasts, budget, number of new accounts, discount levels, gross margins, etc.) and take appropriate action to improve performance. Ensure that sales activities in the territory comply with the Company’s sales policies and procedures. Perform training duties for in-house staff and customers on Company’s products and services. Work with the Marketing team to represent the Company at various conferences, trade shows, seminars, workshops etc, including development and presentation of slide decks where required. Here’s Who We’re Looking For: A related post-secondary degree is required; formal education in hearing care (Audiology, HIS) required. Minimum of 5 years of Sales experience, preferably in healthcare or hearing aid clinic setting. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact with customers. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and organizational skills with technical aptitude. Ability to represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner. Frequent travel (50% - 70%) within territory and at times Canada or International. Proficiency with CRM (Salesforce.com), Excel, Power Point software. Ability to work in a complex environment with varying degree of tasks (sales, training, tech support, telephone support, etc.). Must own a reliable vehicle (max 6 years old) and have a valid driver’s license. Why Should You Work With Us? Competitive salary with annual reviews.
