We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives across key Automotive and Non-Automotive OEM accounts throughout North America. This highly visible role, within our EQYO organization, will focus on developing strategic customer relationships, identifying new market opportunities, and driving profitable growth through both existing accounts and new customer acquisition.

As a trusted partner to some of the industry's most influential organizations, you will work across multiple functions to deliver customer solutions, influence product development, and position Saint-Gobain EQYO as the supplier of choice.

Reporting to the North American Market Development Leader, this remote position will be located in Michigan and requires up to 50% travel.

Essential Functions Of This Role Include

  • Leading complex selling processes that involve buying influences in major Automotive and Non automotive OEM’s.
  • Developing relationships and building trust with departments responsible for purchasing/strategic sourcing,process engineering/manufacturing.
  • Coordinate timely responses with all applicable functions within Saint-Gobain.
  • Maintain adequate reporting (sales, margin, project pipeline, Large Volume Opportunities) in connection with business objectives.
  • Presents new product development ideas and market cases (new product lines, new materials or new applications) to potential customers by organizing customer discovery interviews or tech-days, attending shows & seminars, cold calling, creating outreach campaigns data and potential market opportunities.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • BS Degree in a technical field or Business is required. Masters is preferred.
  • 5-10 years' Business Development experience with demonstrated record of achieving and exceeding revenue and profit targets is required.
  • Experience with international enterprise selling in complex automotive OEM and Tier 1 and 2 suppliers.
  • Experience with complex contract negotiation involving multiple cultures and geographic locations; US, Europe and Asia.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels.
  • Strong and reliable professional network within OEMs and the broader automotive industry.
  • Demonstrates business development mindset with a natural ability to network and promote innovation.
  • Cold calling, automated outreach experience.
  • Self motivated and results oriented, while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.

Benefits In Joining Us

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $102,000 to $158,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for our Sales Incentive Plan. The targeted bonus amount is 20% of base salary (max opportunity 40%) based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $122,400 to $189,600. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
