Business Development Manager (Japan)
Working Location: Japan
Tokyo and Osaka as the base of operations. Remote and flexible, with travel across Japan

Job Overview And Responsibility
- Achieve assigned sales targets, business objectives, and market expansion plans;
- Drive business growth through channel sales across enterprise, education, hospitality, commercial, and government sectors;
- Develop and enable channel partners to drive sustainable channel business growth.
- Build and maintain longterm relationships with channel partners through regular engagement and business reviews;
- Identify market opportunities, follow up on project requirements, and drive project closures;
- Support partners in product promotion, solution presentations, tender projects, and commercial negotiations;
- Organize and support channel training, marketing activities, exhibitions, and joint customer visits;
- Gather market intelligence, industry trends, and competitor information, and provide market feedback to management;
- Collaborate closely with marketing, presales, technical support, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution;
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and business reports.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience
Must have:
- Minimum 5 years of channel sales or business development experience, preferably in IT, AV, professional display, EdTech, or collaboration solutions industry
- Existing relationships with Japanese distributors and system integrators, with specific account names
- Track record carrying a comparable annual quota through channel partners
- Able to work independently and solve problems on their own
- Familiar with channel sales models and experienced in managing distributors, resellers, or system integrators;
- Strong market development and project management capabilities;
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills;
- Selfmotivated, proactive, and resultsoriented;
- Strong teamwork and crossfunctional collaboration abilities;
- Able to work independently in a fastpaced environment;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Fluent in Japanese and English (both written and spoken).
- Indepth understanding of the Japanese education procurement processes and public tender procedures (particularly under the Ministry of Education,
- Culture, Sports, Science and Technology MEXT guidelines).
