Business Development Manager - Leak Detection

You will lead sales efforts in North America for our Leak Detection products, utilizing our Quantum Cascade Laser Analyzers. You will develop market growth strategies, cultivate customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, and collaborate across a matrix organization to deliver innovative solutions that help customers achieve their goals. This is a field-based position within the United States with flexibility on location, provided you are near a major airport. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities for leak detection solutions within assigned markets and territories, working independently and in collaboration with account managers to drive sustainable growth. Serve as the subject matter expert for leak detection technologies, leading technical discussions, customer presentations, and solution reviews while building relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers. Conduct product demonstrations, customer evaluations, and validation activities to showcase solution value, support product qualification, and accelerate customer adoption. Own and manage sales opportunities throughout the entire lifecycle, from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and successful order acquisition. Partner with account managers to develop strategic account plans, identify high-value growth opportunities, and enable the expansion and repeat sale of products and solutions within key accounts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, engineering, and product management, to deliver customer-focused solutions, strengthen value propositions, and support business development initiatives. Gather customer feedback and analyze industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activity to identify new opportunities, inform product development, and enhance Emerson's market position. Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts, customer activity records, and project updates within CRM and business management systems to support effective planning and business performance. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical field or related Four (4) years of industry experience; two (2) in sales or marketing 40%+ travel Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this position Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: Technical sales experience of selling packaging and processing equipment into the Food and Beverage Industry, Aerosol filling and/or process control industry Knowledge of process analytical sample systems Strong presentation skills Able to enter and do walk-throughs of industrial work sites Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the annual pay range for this role is $100,00 - $170,000 commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
