What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who brings an existing book of business or roster of client relationships within logistics. This is not a role for someone starting from scratch — you know your market, you have relationships you can activate, and you are ready to take your book to the next level with the platform, support, and compensation structure to match.

We work across multiple industries, commodities, and transportation types, so your experience doesn’t need to be narrowly matched to ours — what matters most is a strong existing network and a proven ability to close and grow business.

We are actively hiring in Ohio (either Cincinnati and Columbus, but Cleveland...we see you too!). If you have an established presence or client relationships in one of these markets, we want to talk to you! SAFE has a fast moving office right in Cincinnati; we'd love you to leverage that space and the team, but we can support other regions as well. Be prepared to be in office with the team at times to ensure we continue to build first class teams that care about each other, about our work, but especially about our customers. But we want to support you getting out on the road and doing what you do best...selling our service and our brand.

Things you will be doing right away:

Leverage your existing book of business and industry relationships to drive new revenue for SAFE Powered by Dynamic Connections

Identify, prospect, and close new logistics opportunities across multiple industries, commodities, and transportation types

Build and manage a growing pipeline of customer relationships, from first conversation to signed business and beyond

Partner closely with our operations and finance teams to structure deals that work for your customers and set you up for long-term success

Represent SAFE Transportation Powered By Dynamic Connections in the market in a way that reflects our values and builds trust with new and existing clients

Own your book: track performance, manage forecasting, and continuously look for ways to grow existing accounts

You are a strong candidate if you are:

Bringing an existing book of business or roster of client relationships within logistics

Deeply networked within one of our target markets: Ohio (Cincinnati/Columbus/Cleveland)

Comfortable working across multiple industries, commodities, and transportation types — your relationships matter more than a narrow specialization

Results-driven. You have a track record of closing and growing business, with a bias for action and high accountability

Motivated by uncapped earning potential — you want your effort and performance to directly drive your paycheck

A strong communicator and relationship-builder who thrives with autonomy

This is a market-based role — you’ll be out in your territory building and growing relationships. For those based in the Cincinnati area, we offer office support with a designated desk to work alongside the wider team.
