About DFNCE
DFNCE is a Melbourne-based provider of Resilient IT Operations for Australian organisations SMB to Enterprise. We operate across the full technology estate as a single partner, so our clients deal with one team and one escalation point instead of a long list of vendors.
Our capability spans:
- IT Operations and Management: 24x7 managed infrastructure, cloud and end-user environments, help desk, monitoring, and patch and vulnerability management
- Cyber Security: Security Operations Centre (SOC) and MDR, identity and privileged access, endpoint protection, email security, data security posture management (DSPM), penetration testing and Essential Eight assessments
- Data Protection: Backup, disaster recovery and business continuity across on-premise, cloud and Microsoft 365
- Advisory and Professional Services: Architecture, migrations, implementations and project delivery
- AI Consultation and Implementation: Practical AI adoption and productivity
- Third-Party Maintenance: Post-warranty infrastructure support with 24x7 SLA options
- Hardware, Software and Licensing: Procurement, Microsoft CSP licensing and renewal management
We work with leading technology partners including Microsoft, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, Concentric AI,NinjaOne, Veeam and more. Our approach is simple: Unify IT. Simplify Operations.
Launched in 2026, DFNCE is in an early growth phase. This is an opportunity to join early, work directly with the founding team and build a career in technology sales from the ground up.
About the role
As our Junior Business Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact for new prospects and play a central role in building our pipeline. Working closely with our Client Executive and sales team, you will engage IT and business leaders, understand their challenges across operations, security and data, and secure qualified meetings for the sales team.
Full training is provided. We are looking for drive and the right attitude, not years of experience.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver structured daily outbound activity, meeting targets for calls, conversations and meetings booked
- Research target organisations and decision makers, and build and maintain account lists in Salesforce
- Run multi-channel outreach sequences across phone, email and LinkedIn
- Qualify opportunities against business need, authority and timing
- Prepare clear, detailed handover notes so every meeting starts with context
- Maintain accurate activity and pipeline records in Salesforce
- Take part in ongoing sales coaching, product and vendor training
About you
- Some experience in a sales, telesales, customer service or other target-driven role. Graduates with strong communication skills are encouraged to apply
- Confidence speaking on the phone, including with senior people
- Resilience and a positive approach to rejection
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to be coached
- A genuine interest in technology and cyber security. A technical background is not required
- Ambition to build a long-term career in technology sales
- Exposure to B2B sales, IT, SaaS or cyber security is highly regarded but not essential
What’s on offer
- $60,000 to $65,000 base salary plus superannuation
- Uncapped commission. You are paid for qualified meeting you book. There is no ceiling on what you can earn. Your results determine your income
- Daily, hands-on coaching from founders with extensive enterprise IT sales experience across APAC along with our Vendors
- A clear pathway to BDM.
- Structured training across managed IT, cyber security, data protection and our partner platforms from day one
- Exposure to the full technology stack, building broad commercial knowledge rather than a single-product focus
- Melbourne office-based during onboarding, with hybrid working available once targets are consistently met
