Business Development Representative
Established over 30 years ago, our client is a globally recognised, multi-award-winning intelligence organisation, working with businesses across a range of industries including aviation (airlines), financial services (banks, lenders and investors) and more. Their intelligence platform is currently serving organisations such as Boeing and Turkish Airlines, and have seen consistent year on year growth.
As a result, they are now looking to hire a Business Development Representative (BDR) to generate new business opportunities for the senior sales team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative, forward-thinking business as its first BDR hire, giving you the chance to make a real impact while helping shape its outbound sales function.
You’ll benefit from a supportive team culture, exposure to a global customer base, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to represent a business recognised as a leader in its sector.
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with the flexibility to work from either their Surrey or London office.
Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential customers across the aviation sector.
- Build targeted prospect lists across agreed markets, segments and territories.
- Generate new business opportunities through outbound calls, personalised emails and LinkedIn outreach.
- Use Cognism and other sales intelligence tools to identify relevant businesses, key contacts and decision-makers.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company’s aviation data and intelligence solutions.
- Clearly communicate the value proposition to prospective customers and demonstrate how the solutions meet their needs.
- Qualify prospects and arrange relevant meetings for the Business Development Managers.
- Work closely with the BDM team to prioritise target accounts and support new business acquisition.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across airlines, aircraft lessors, MRO providers, banks and other aviation organisations.
- Attend relevant industry events and networking opportunities to identify new prospects and develop relationships.
- Maintain accurate records of prospecting activity, conversations and opportunities within the CRM.
- Manage consistent follow-ups through structured outreach sequences to maximise engagement.
- Share market insights, including customer requirements, common objections and competitor activity.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of prospecting messaging, campaigns and outbound sales strategies.
The Successful Candidate
- 18+ months experience in an SDR, lead-generation, telesales or business-development role
- Experience within aviation, data, SaaS or financial services is advantageous
- Commutable to London / Surrey office on a weekly basis
BDR Package
- Basic salary: up to £45,000
- OTE: £65,000-£70,000 (uncapped)
- Flexible working
