About the role

OGMA is looking for a Business Development Executive to join our commercial team in Sandyford.

You’ll work closely with our Commercial Executive to build new business, manage inbound enquiries and follow up with customers on quotations. You’ll be involved in the conversations that turn an initial enquiry into a long-term customer relationship.

It’s a great opportunity to develop your commercial career in a growing business with a long-standing presence in the Irish shipping industry. You’ll work with customers, shipping lines and agents in Ireland and internationally.

What you’ll do

• Identify and develop new business opportunities alongside the Commercial Executive.

• Manage inbound leads and respond to customer enquiries by phone and email.

• Help prepare quotations and follow up on outstanding offers.

• Build relationships with new and existing customers.

• Keep customer details, activity and opportunities up to date in HubSpot.

• Track open enquiries and support the sales pipeline.

• Work with our Operations team to understand bookings, vessel schedules and shipments.

What we’re looking for

• Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with customers.

• A proactive approach to following up and developing opportunities.

• Good organisation and attention to detail.

• Experience in sales, business development, customer service or logistics would be an advantage.

• Confidence using Outlook, Excel and CRM systems, or a willingness to learn.

• An interest in shipping and international trade.
