Job Description: J ob Title: Business Finance – Leveraged Debt Capital Markets Corporate Title: Assistant Vice President Location: New York, NY Overview Deutsche Bank's Business Finance team serves as a key partner to the Investment Bank, providing financial analysis, performance reporting, strategic insights, and governance support across its businesses. This role supports the Leveraged Debt Capital Markets (LDCM) franchise and offers the opportunity to work closely with investment bankers, risk managers, treasury, operations, valuation, and finance teams. As a member of the LDCM Business Finance team, you will help drive financial transparency, support business decision-making, and contribute to the management of capital, funding, and regulatory requirements. The role offers broad exposure to leveraged finance transactions, debt capital markets activities, and the financial drivers that influence business performance across a leading global investment bank. What We Offer You A diverse and inclusive environment that embraces change, innovation, and collaboration A hybrid working model, allowing for in-office / work from home flexibility, generous vacation, personal and volunteer days Employee Resource Groups support an inclusive workplace for everyone and promote community engagement Competitive compensation packages including health and wellbeing benefits, retirement savings plans, parental leave, and family building benefits Educational resources, matching gift and volunteer programs What You’ll Do Partner with Front Office, Risk, Treasury, Operations, Valuation, and Finance teams to support the financial management, performance analysis, and strategic priorities of the Leveraged Debt Capital Markets business Analyze P&L, balance sheet, capital, and risk metrics to identify key performance drivers, evaluate business trends, and support management decision-making Support month-end close, financial review, variance analysis, and management reporting processes to provide accurate and timely business insights Evaluate the financial, accounting, capital, and funding impacts of new transactions, business initiatives, and product developments, including transfer pricing considerations Perform RWA, capital, and balance sheet analysis to support business planning, resource optimization, and broader balance sheet management objectives Support regulatory, governance, and control framework requirements, including SOX, Volcker, CCAR, and engagement with global Finance partners to ensure consistent oversight and reporting. Skills You’ll Need Relevant experience in Business Finance, Product Control, FP&A, Accounting, Investment Banking Finance, Capital Markets Finance, or a related discipline Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, financial reporting, and the key drivers of business performance Knowledge of investment banking products, debt capital markets, leveraged finance, or broader capital markets activities Advanced analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear and actionable insights Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience leveraging automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency and decision-making Proven ability to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, enhance analysis, and solve business problems while applying sound judgment and appropriate governance: standard language all DB adverts include Skills That Will Help You Excel Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience partnering with senior stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Knowledge of relevant control framework requirements Expectations It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model. The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $129,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
