Business Intelligence Analyst

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with strong SQL and Power BI skills who can translate business goals into meaningful insights. This role is not limited to writing queries or creating dashboards- the ideal candidate should understand business problems, identify relevant metrics, and provide recommendations that support better decision-making. Key Responsibilities Partner with business and product teams to understand goals, challenges, and reporting requirements. Analyse complex datasets using SQL to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps. Build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that clearly communicate business performance. Define and track KPIs aligned with business objectives. Convert business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable insights. Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across reports and dashboards. Proactively identify areas where data can improve processes, revenue, customer experience, or operational efficiency. Requirements Strong hands-on experience with SQL, including joins, CTEs, aggregations, window functions, and query optimisation. Proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard development. Strong business understanding and the ability to connect data insights with business outcomes. Experience gathering requirements and working with cross-functional stakeholders. Ability to identify the right metrics instead of simply reporting available data.
