We are seeking a talented individual to join our UK Claims Consulting team within Marsh Advisory as a Forensic Accountant specifically within the Business Interruption Practice.

Our Claims Consulting team is a global collective of accountants, lawyers, loss adjusters, and insurance professionals dedicated to helping clients successfully resolve complex and large insurance claims. In this role, you will lead and support a range of claims preparation and pre-loss review assignments, providing specialist financial analysis, policy review and recommendations, and insight to help clients navigate challenging claim situations.

We will count on you to:

• Advise clients in the immediate aftermath of catastrophic losses, delivering practical guidance and exceptional client service in fast-moving situations.
• Lead and support the quantification and presentation of significant and complex insurance claims and related financial projects across a range of industry sectors.
• Negotiate with insurers and Loss Adjusters to help resolve coverage issues to achieve fair and agreeable settlements for clients.
• Undertake pre-loss Business Interruption and cyber reviews to stress-test policy cover, model worst case loss scenarios, identify potential exposures and assist our clients in ensuring their cover is adequate and responds as expected.
• Mentor junior colleagues and promote a collaborative and positive working environment for the wider team.

What you need to have:

• A professional accounting or loss adjusting qualification (such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CILA or equivalent), with substantial claims experience, including Business Interruption.

• Proven experience working in the insurance sector, in a claims, forensic accounting, or advisory environment.

• A proactive, collaborative, and dedicated approach to managing your workload and priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and succinctly explain complex insurance issues.
