Business Line Manager – Pay & Credit (m/f/d)

(unlimited, full-time) Join our team at our location in Luxembourg – flexible working conditions are available

As Business Line Manager – Pay & Credit, you will work directly with the Business Line Lead to help shape and execute Riverty’s Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) and consumer credit business across Europe.

You will take ownership of selected strategic and cross-functional topics and drive them from the initial business question through analysis, stakeholder alignment and decision-making to implementation and performance follow-up.

Working across Product, Underwriting, Risk, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations, you will act as a cross-functional integrator — connecting different perspectives, creating transparency on dependencies and trade-offs, and making sure decisions turn into action.

The role combines project management, strategy, business development and analytical thinking. You might develop the business case for a new proposition, assess a growth opportunity, coordinate an underwriting decision, conduct an ad-hoc business analysis or drive a strategic initiative across multiple functions.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive strategic and cross-functional initiatives from initial business question through decision and implementation, coordinating stakeholders, milestones, dependencies and actions.
  • Support strategy and business performance by analysing key business drivers, identifying opportunities and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Develop new business opportunities by assessing propositions, partnerships and other growth initiatives from a strategic and commercial perspective.
  • Build and challenge business cases, combining commercial, financial, product, operational and risk perspectives to support investment and management decisions.
  • Coordinate underwriting and credit performance topics, assessing implications for conversion, credit losses, volumes, customer experience and profitability.
  • Support key Business Line steering and governance forums, ensuring topics are properly structured, decisions are prepared and agreed actions are followed through.
  • Connect stakeholders across Riverty, creating alignment between functions and ensuring complex initiatives move forward.

The scope reflects the core responsibilities in the underlying role profile across enablement, strategy, development, business cases, underwriting and governance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Around 5 years of professional experience in consulting, strategy, business development, project/program management, financial services, corporate finance or a comparable cross-functional role.
  • Proven ability to drive complex projects across multiple stakeholders, including where you do not have direct authority over the teams involved.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and experience with business cases, financial modelling and management decision support.
  • Ability to structure complex and ambiguous problems and turn them into clear actions and decisions.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, combined with commercial thinking and a hands-on approach.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.
  • Experience in payments and/or consumer credit is a plus, but not a prerequisite.
  • Fluent English

Why This Role?

Pay & Credit sits at the intersection of product, commercial, finance, credit risk and operations. That puts you at the center of some of Riverty’s most important business questions.

Working directly with the Business Line Lead, you will gain significant exposure to the strategic and financial steering of Pay & Credit, while building a broad network across Riverty and developing an end-to-end understanding of the business.

Your mandate: connect the dots, create structure, enable decisions and drive execution — while helping shape where Pay & Credit goes next.
