About Us

Do you enjoy bringing structure to a growing company and taking ownership of the work that keeps everything moving?

At geoFluxus, we help companies gain real insight into their waste and material streams. Our platform collects waste data from multiple sources, verifies it, and turns it into dashboards, flow maps, charts, and actionable reports. This enables sustainability, procurement, and operations teams to make better decisions, save costs, and meet compliance requirements.

Our mission is to make circularity measurable. The word “waste” shouldn’t exist: all resources should be used for as long as possible, in the highest-value way, and as close to their source as possible. We work with leading enterprises and governments across the globe to make that a reality, backed by data.

About the role

Behind every fast-growing startup, there's a huge amount of work that keeps things running smoothly, but doesn't fit neatly into any one department: invoices that need sending, contracts that need reviewing, numbers that need modelling, and a hundred small things that need someone to simply own them. That's what this role is about.

We're looking for a Business Operations Manager to become the backbone of our day-to-day operations. You'll take ownership of our financial administration and reporting, keep our contracts and processes organized, support our projects behind the scenes, and help us present our progress to investors. As we grow, you'll increasingly take work off the founders' plates - which means the exact shape of this role will evolve, and no two weeks will look quite the same.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, comfortable with numbers, and energized rather than overwhelmed by variety - someone who enjoys building order out of a fast-moving, still-forming environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Own invoicing and revenue operations, keeping billing accurate, timely, and well-documented
  • Manage contracts - both client-facing and internal - ensuring they're organized, up to date, and easy to track
  • Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting and decision-making
  • Coordinate recurring administrative processes and improve how they are organised
  • Support project delivery beyond the content itself: tracking deadlines, following up on deliverables, and keeping project communications and reporting on track
  • Prepare investor metrics and reporting materials
  • Help organize company initiatives, from team offsites to events
  • Take on the wide range of one-off tasks that come with being an early-stage company - mostly administrative and organizational work that doesn't yet have a natural home, but is essential to keeping the company running

What We’re Looking For

Must-have – proven track record

  • Strong organizational skills and a structured, detail-oriented way of working
  • Comfort working with financial data, contracts, and administrative processes
  • Ability to manage multiple, varied responsibilities and shifting priorities without losing track of details
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-moving, still-forming environment
  • At least B2 level of spoken Dutch

Nice-to-have

  • Previous experience in financial modeling or investor reporting
  • Previous experience in contract management or revenue operations
  • Experience working in small, fast-growing companies
  • Experience organizing events, offsites, or other team initiatives
  • Experience supporting grant-funded, research, or client projects

The Hiring Process

  • First interview with company founders
  • Second interview including case study assignment
  • Team-fit interview
  • Offer

What We Offer

  • A 36-hour workweek, with every other Friday off – without any impact on your salary
  • A hybrid working setup: Wednesday to Friday at our Rotterdam office; during the rest of the week, you can work where you prefer, either from home or the office
  • An NS Business Card for commuting
  • At least 5 weeks of paid vacation, with flexibility to take more if needed
  • A quarterly offsite, in the Netherlands or abroad, to plan, brainstorm, and strengthen the team
  • Note: Unfortunately, we are not able to provide visa sponsorship.
