Business Performance Manager to BA Biomaterials, Stora Enso

We are now looking for a Business Performance Manager to join our Sales, Marketing & Supply Chain organization within Biomaterials.

In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening commercial performance by transforming data into actionable business insights and enabling informed decision-making across Sales and Marketing. Through performance management, profitability analysis, and pricing governance, you will help drive profitable growth and commercial excellence across Biomaterials.

Preferred location for the position is Stockholm, Helsinki, or Amsterdam. Other Stora Enso locations may also be considered. You will report to the Head of Marketing & Sales Excellence. We apply a hybrid way of working, combining office presence with flexibility to work remotely.

This position may require occasional travel.


Who are we looking for? 

We are looking for a proactive and business-oriented professional who combines strong analytical skills with a passion for driving commercial performance. You enjoy transforming complex commercial and financial data into actionable insights and are comfortable working with both strategic topics and operational follow-up.

To succeed in this role, you build strong relationships across functions, communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and take ownership of your responsibilities. You enjoy working hands-on with data and have experience developing analytical solutions, dashboards, and reports that support business decision-making.

You are naturally curious, thrive in a changing environment, and continuously seek opportunities to improve ways of working through data, digitalisation, and technology. You are structured, accountable, and comfortable challenging the status quo to help the business make better decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive commercial performance through analytics, reporting, and structured performance management.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reporting solutions, KPIs, and analytical models, translating business requirements into actionable insights and decision support.
  • Analyze customer, product, and market profitability, identify improvement opportunities, and drive follow-up actions.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions related to pricing, customer portfolios, product portfolios, and account planning.
  • Own and develop pricing principles and contracting governance.
  • Monitor and follow up Sales Incentive Programs and sales overdue reporting.
  • Partner with Sales, Controlling, IT, Legal, and other stakeholders to drive commercial excellence and enable informed decision-making.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you bring a strong combination of commercial understanding, analytical capability, and stakeholder management skills.


We believe you have:


  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Several years of experience in commercial performance management, business controlling, analytics, sales operations, or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of commercial drivers, pricing, profitability analysis, and performance management
  • Proven experience building, developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, and leveraging CRM and ERP systems to support data-driven decision-making
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into business actions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working across multiple functions and stakeholder groups
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Swedish or Finnish language skills are considered an advantage
