About the role

IMS is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional who excels in Business Process Automation to join our dynamic team.


In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, orchestrating, and implementing automated workflows that optimize business processes across various departments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, enhance productivity, reduce errors, and support the overall digital transformation strategy of our clients’ organizations. This position will develop into a lead role within the IMS business orchestration and automation tool development team.

This is a hybrid role with remote work allowable pending manager approval, but requiring visits to client sites on a regular basis.


What You Will Do

  • Analyze current processes to identify areas where automation can add value and reduce manual effort.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for workflow solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy across business functions.
    • Configure workflow processes, routing, approvals, alerts, and reminders per the approved process design.
    • Build custom web forms with field validation, conditional logic, and dynamic behavior.
    • Develop and maintain the supporting data layer (tables, queries, and stored procedures as applicable) using the authorized access model.
    • Perform unit and integration testing; resolve defects through acceptance.
    • Develop and deploy integration solutions connecting identified systems of record via APIs and web services.
    • Produce configuration and technical documentation; support deployment, cutover, and knowledge transfer.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize electronic workflows to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to end-users on automated systems and workflow tools.
  • Maintain and update implemented solutions.
  • Stay up to date with emerging automation technologies and recommend improvements to current practices.


Qualifications

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workflow automation technologies, a deep understanding of business operations, excellent ability to translate complex and critical process logic into fully developed process flow diagrams, and the ability to translate complex requirements into manageable components within a scalable digital solution.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field. (An additional four years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement).
  • Proven experience in design, configuration, implementation, and/or administration of workflow automation solutions in a business, technical, administrative or logistics environment.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell for automation purposes, including forms and custom logic.
  • Demonstrated experience with the following:
    • API integration, web services, and data exchange protocols (REST, SOAP).
    • CSS and HTML
    • SQL and relational database querying and design.
    • Form design, conditional logic, and routing-rule configuration.
    • Technical documentation and version-control discipline.
    • Client-facing roles or responsibilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex processes and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to support (reimbursable) travel to client location(s) in the U.S.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance. (U.S. citizenship required).

Preferred

· Previous work experience supporting government agencies or their (sub)contractors.

· Previous U.S. government security clearance (preferred) or active clearance (highly preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of automation tools and platforms such as Integrify, UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar. (Integrify experience highly preferred).
  • Experience with C# and cloud applications running in MS Azure.
  • Residence in Central or Northern New Mexico.
