The National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) provides asset and liability management services to the Irish Government. It has evolved from a single function agency managing the National Debt to a manager of a complex portfolio of public assets and liabilities. Businesses managed by the NTMA include the National Debt, State Claims Agency, New Economy and Recovery Authority (NewERA), Ireland Strategic Investment Fund, National Development Finance Agency and the Future Ireland Funds. Future Ireland Funds
In October 2023, the Minister for Finance announced the proposal to establish two new funds – the Future Ireland Fund (FIF) and the Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund (ICNF). The NTMA oversees and manages both the FIF, which aims to ensure steady and long-term support for state expenditure from 2041, and the ICNF, which is designed to bolster state spending after 2026 in response to economic downturns or to fund environmental initiatives between 2026 and 2030. The landmark Future Ireland Fund and Infrastructure, Climate and Nature Fund Act 2024 was signed into law in June 2024.

The NTMA is seeking a Business Support Specialist, which provides a unique opportunity for a talented and motivated individual to join the Future Ireland Funds team tasked with the delivery of the Future Ireland Funds' mandates and to gain exposure to the highest standards of the investment management industry.
The purpose of this role is primarily to provide strong administrative and business support to the Director of the Future Ireland Funds. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling a wide range of administrative and executive support-related tasks. The ability to interact with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, sometimes under pressure, is essential. A high level of professionalism and confidentiality/discretion is crucial for this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are equally important.
All members of the Future Ireland Funds team are required to remain flexible to respond to the dynamic nature of the mandate. This may require team members to apply their skills outside of their core areas of responsibility from time to time.

Principal Accountabilities
The principal responsibilities will include the following:
- Provide proactive executive support to the FIF Director, including diary and inbox management, meeting and stakeholder coordination and prioritisation of requests.
- Assist in the development of collateral for the FIF, working with the team to ensure consistency in the look and feel of the Unit's output.
- Support the team in the preparation of documents and reports, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and letters, as required.
- End-to-end ownership of key functional monthly meetings, including scheduling, creating agendas, minute taking and follow-up of open actions.
- Establishment and management of workflow processes for the Unit for various committee and board meetings.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and related expense processes for the FIF team in line with organisational policies.
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the Unit's invoice and expenses processes.
- Coordinate responses to Parliamentary Questions, Freedom of Information requests and other information requests, ensuring delivery within agreed deadlines.
- Contribute to a strong operating environment through cross-team support, process improvement initiatives and flexible delivery across evolving priorities.
- Such other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
