Business Systems Analyst

Job Location: 100% remote in Romania Recruitment process: HR screenig Technical interview Role description: Analyzes and documents system integrations and API-based data flows for digital projects, translating business needs into technical specifications that development teams can implement. Responsibilities Gather and document functional and non-functional requirements for digital integration projects Design API integration specifications (REST/SOAP) and define interface contracts and data mappings between systems Create UML, ER, sequence, and data-flow diagrams to document system and integration architecture Validate and troubleshoot integrations using tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, and SoapUI Assess the technical impact and risk of proposed changes and recommend solutions Required 3+ years of experience in business and systems analysis, including complex digital/integration projects Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and testing API integrations (REST and/or SOAP) Working knowledge of SQL (any flavor) or NoSQL (e.g., Elasticsearch, Redis) Experience with visual modeling and technical documentation (UML, ER diagrams, sequence/data-flow diagrams, interface specs) Understanding of microservices architecture and messaging/event-driven integration (Kafka, MQ, or RabbitMQ) Good written and spoken English Preferred Comfortable using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to support analysis, documentation, and process improvement
