We service clients in SLED (state/local gov't & education), financial services, fortune, public utility, as well as regularly partnering with Big 4 SI partners.

IT Applications Analyst

Location: 100% Remote (Preference for candidates in the Dallas, TX area)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (Expected conversion to Full-Time after 90 days)

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced IT Applications Analyst to support enterprise financial applications and partner with business stakeholders to improve business processes and application functionality. This role will serve as a liaison between business users and IT, gathering requirements, supporting Agile development efforts, creating test plans, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring successful software releases.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, experience supporting financial software applications, advanced Excel expertise, and experience working within Agile Scrum environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of IT Applications Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Application Support experience.
• Strong hands-on experience writing Microsoft SQL queries.
• Experience supporting financial software applications.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including:
• VLOOKUP
• Pivot Tables
• Delimited/Text Files
• Experience developing and executing test plans within an Agile Scrum environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• API integration experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise software applications.
• Familiarity with finance business processes including:
• General Ledger
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Fixed Assets
• Procurement
• Revenue Accounting
• Tax
• Treasury

Key Responsibilities

• Provide application and business process support for enterprise software.
• Serve as the liaison between business users and IT development teams.
• Gather business requirements and create user stories, features, epics, and backlog items.
• Collaborate with Agile Scrum teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and regression testing.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend process improvements.
• Perform root cause analysis for production issues and implement resolutions.
• Analyze complex datasets using SQL to identify trends and resolve issues.
• Document defects, expected results, and testing outcomes.
• Support production releases, demonstrations, and end-user training.
• Perform application data maintenance and basic system fixes.
• Participate in production support activities, including occasional after-hours support when required.
• Create technical documentation and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Occasional travel (up to 20%) may be required.
• Standard business hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time.
• Contract position with the potential to convert to a permanent employee after approximately 90 days.

Pay rate: $23/hr on W2
