C++ Software Developer

Location: Remote within Germany

Salary: Up to €65,000

We are currently supporting an established organisation in the recruitment of an experienced C++ Software Developer for a permanent position.

The successful candidate will work within the Vehicle Interface area, supporting communication between the infotainment platform and vehicle ECUs. The scope includes Car Business Logic, Cluster Services and in-vehicle communication.

Key responsibilities:

• Development of production-grade software using C/C++

• Development of vehicle interface and infotainment functionality

• Implementation of signal and service-based communication

• Software integration, testing and release activities

• Unit testing using Google Test / GTest

• Debugging on target hardware and root-cause analysis

• Code reviews and adherence to architectural guidelines

• Creation of technical requirements, designs and documentation

• Collaboration across infotainment and vehicle ECU environments

Required experience:

• Minimum 3 years of professional C/C++ development experience

• Strong knowledge of modern C++, ideally C++17/20

• Professional experience within the automotive industry is essential

• Experience with CAN / CAN-FD and SOME/IP

• Experience with BAP and ViWi is highly desirable

• Strong Linux knowledge

• Experience with CMake, Git, Python and Bash

• Knowledge of software testing and Test-Driven Development

• Understanding of automotive infotainment system architecture

• Experience working within ASPICE and Agile development environments

Additional knowledge of QNX, Android, AUTOSAR or automotive communication frameworks would be advantageous.
