Social Security Scotland are looking for a Head of Fraud and Error Data and Systems. If you are a leader who is comfortable in identifying and mitigating risks to service delivery, who can set strategic direction, work collaboratively across government, and can craft advice for senior leaders and Ministers, then this role could be for you.
The role will lead a branch of the Fraud and Error Resolution unit which comprised of our Fraud and Error Systems and Processes function, and our proactive intelligence function – Fraud and Error Data.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership of these two service functions, contributing to direction and leadership of the Unit as a whole, and the Finance and Corporate Services Division. The post allows the exciting opportunity to influence the design of new services, and shape and evolve existing ones as we move towards delivery of the target operating state for the Fraud and Error Service.
Responsibilities
Developing and delivering the vision for their operational service responsibilities
Driving innovative design development, supporting development and implementation of technology requirements and processes, tactics, data sources and continuous improvements
Delivering a consistent, ethical, high-quality approach to intelligence management practice, aligned with National Intelligence Model principles and ensuring operations reflect our values of delivering with dignity, fairness and respect
Planning and overseeing effective contribution to delivery against Unit, Divisional and Corporate objectives, proactively reporting on performance aligned to these elements
Promoting closer working with internal and external partners, across government and other public and private sector organisations
Evaluate and actively influence performance outcomes, providing assurance on value add and risk mitigation
Success Profiles

Experience:
Significant experience of senior leadership and development of an intelligence function within a criminal investigation environment, with ability to apply National Intelligence Model principles in an operational context.
Behaviours:

Working Pattern
Our standard hours are 35 hours per week and we offer a range of flexible working options, depending on the needs of the role. We embrace a hybrid working style where all colleagues will spend time in either our Glasgow or Dundee offices. There is an expectation of a minimum 2 days per week in your assigned location, which will be either Glasgow or Dundee.
