About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Freelance CAD Designer to partner with us on an ongoing, project-by-project basis. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming concepts, rough sketches, and specifications into high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models. Because this is a freelance position, we are looking for a self-starter who communicates effectively, manages their own time efficiently, and consistently delivers accurate work within agreed-upon deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Experience: Proven professional experience as a CAD Designer, Drafter, or similar role.
Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, Revit, or SketchUp — specify your required software here).
Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, or architectural principles (depending on your industry).
Attention to Detail: Ability to produce highly accurate drawings with correct dimensions, annotations, and scaling.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clarifying design requirements and remote collaboration.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing previous CAD work, highlighting both complex 3D modeling and precise 2D drafting.
Project Scope & Workflow
Assignment: Projects will be assigned on an as-needed basis. Each assignment will come with a detailed brief, necessary reference materials, and a requested timeline.
Deliverables: Final delivery must include the native CAD files (e.g., .DWG, .SLDPRT) as well as exported formats for review (e.g., .PDF, .STEP, .STL).
