Calibration Technician

Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Calibration Technician based in the kerala Region, with some flexibility for work from home. The Calibration Technician will perform routine and specialized calibration of electrical, mechanical, and electronic instruments in accordance with ISO standards and company procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and operating test equipment, verifying measurement accuracy, documenting calibration results, and preparing certificates traceable to international standards. The role involves troubleshooting instrument issues, supporting minor repairs, and coordinating with inspectors and engineers to ensure equipment reliability and compliance. The technician will follow safety protocols, maintain laboratory housekeeping, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the calibration and inspection services.

Qualifications

• Strong calibration and instrumentation skills, with the ability to perform precise measurements and adjustments across electrical, mechanical, and electronic devices.
• Laboratory skills covering safe work practices, use of calibration standards, and accurate documentation of procedures and results.
• Hands-on experience with test equipment, including configuration, operation, verification, and basic maintenance.
• Troubleshooting abilities for identifying measurement deviations, diagnosing equipment faults, and supporting corrective actions.
• Relevant technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience working in an ISO 9001 or ISO 45001–compliant environment, preferably in calibration or testing laboratories.
• Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to follow standardized procedures and safety requirements.
• Effective communication skills in English; ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Basic computer proficiency for using calibration management software and preparing reports; familiarity with quality and risk-based processes is an advantage.
