California Civil Discovery

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM PST

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced California Civil Discovery professional to join our legal team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting attorneys in California civil litigation, particularly with discovery, and is comfortable handling both legal and administrative responsibilities. This is a hybrid role that requires someone who is proactive, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Civil Discovery & Litigation Support
• Draft, review, and respond to discovery requests, including:
• Form Interrogatories
• Special Interrogatories
• Requests for Production of Documents (RFPs)
• Requests for Admission (RFAs)
• Prepare discovery responses and organize supporting documentation.
• Prepare and assist with California state court e-filings.
• Maintain case files and litigation calendars.
• Conduct legal research as needed.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties.

Administrative & Executive Support

• Manage the attorney's calendar and schedule meetings.
• Organize emails and prioritize communications.
• Follow up with clients and vendors.
• Maintain organized electronic files and documents.
• Prepare and proofread correspondence and legal documents.

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of recent experience handling California Civil Discovery for a U.S. law firm.
• Extensive knowledge of California civil litigation procedures and discovery.
• Experience drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Experience with California state court e-filing.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
