JOB DESCRIPTION

You Belong Here

The Protiviti Career provides an opportunity to learn, inspire, and advance within a collaborative and inclusive culture. We hire curious individuals for whom learning is a passion. We lean into our mission: We Care. We Collaborate. We Deliver.

At every level, we champion leaders who live our values of integrity, inclusion, innovation, and commitment to success. Imagining our work as a journey, we believe integrity guides our way, inclusion moves us forward together, innovation creates new destinations, and our commitment to success empowers us to deliver on our vision to be the most trusted global consulting firm.

Where We Need You:

The Technology Consulting Practice is seeking a Senior Director to join our growing team and lead client transformation across the Quote to Cash ecosystem, including Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ), Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM), billing, order management, revenue recognition, and broader revenue operations transformation. Quote to Cash has become the operational backbone of modern revenue models, requiring organizations to connect commercial strategy, technology architecture, process design, data integrity, and delivery excellence. Subscription pricing, usage-based billing, complex contracting, and AI-accelerated deal cycles require a leader who can help clients modernize how revenue is designed, sold, contracted, billed, recognized, and optimized.

What You Can Expect:

This is a practice-building leadership role with responsibility for advancing the firm’s Quote to Cash transformation capabilities across market positioning, client advisory, technology partner alignment, delivery methodology, talent development, and commercial and delivery performance. The Senior Director will help define how the firm goes to market, how client transformation engagements are shaped and delivered, which technology partners are prioritized, and how the practice creates measurable value for clients across the Q2C ecosystem.

What Will Help You Be Successful:

  • Define and evolve the firm’s Q2C practice vision, service portfolio, go-to-market strategy, priority client segments, and market differentiation.
  • Originate and support client opportunities in partnership with sales leadership, including serving as the senior SME in pursuits, proposals, RFPs, and executive client conversations.
  • Build the firm’s market presence through thought leadership, speaking opportunities, webinars, analyst relationships, and other external visibility channels.
  • Lead or sponsor the most complex Q2C advisory and implementation engagements, providing credible executive guidance across business process, architecture, platform selection, integration, and post-go-live optimization.
  • Design scalable Q2C operating models across CPQ, contract lifecycle, recurring and usage-based billing, order management, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, data, and analytics.
  • Establish and maintain strategic alliances with key technology partners, including Salesforce, Zuora, Oracle, Stripe, Logi Sense, Conga, Docusign, and other Q2C ecosystem providers.
  • Create and standardize delivery methodology, frameworks, assessment tools, accelerators, reference architectures, and reusable assets that improve quality, consistency, and practitioner leverage.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of Q2C advisors and technology practitioners, while building competency models, career paths, certification plans, and mentoring routines.
  • Own practice health and performance indicators, including revenue, pipeline coverage, utilization, realization, client satisfaction, delivery quality, and profitability.
  • Partner with firm leadership on workforce planning, investment priorities, market trends, and strategic growth decisions as the practice scales.

Do Your Talents Include the Following?

  • Deep Quote to Cash domain expertise across product and pricing catalogues, CPQ workflows, contract execution and amendments, billing models, order management, revenue recognition under ASC 606 / IFRS 15, and accounts receivable.
  • Hands-on mastery of Salesforce Revenue Cloud / CPQ, with credible cross-platform fluency across the broader Q2C ecosystem, including Zuora, Oracle CPQ, Stripe Billing, Conga CLM, DocuSign CLM, or comparable platforms.
  • Ability to advise clients on platform selection, solution architecture, integration patterns, vendor considerations, and technology tradeoffs across CRM, ERP, revenue recognition, billing, CLM, iPaaS, analytics, and RevOps tooling.
  • Demonstrated success designing and delivering end-to-end Q2C transformations, from current-state assessment and business case development through implementation, integration, change management, and optimization.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to engage credibly with CFOs, RevOps leaders, CIOs, sales executives, and technical architects.
  • Commercial orientation, with the ability to connect technology decisions to business outcomes such as revenue leakage, deal velocity, DSO, audit readiness, margin realization, and client value.
  • Experience building or scaling a consulting practice, service line, or equivalent capability, including offering development, pipeline building, delivery oversight, team development, and P&L-oriented decision-making.
  • Experience leading multi-workstream, multimillion-dollar advisory or implementation programs and managing senior client relationships.
  • Builder’s mentality, analytical rigor, and platform-neutral integrity, with a bias for creating durable methodology, team capability, and market position.
  • Existing or buildable relationships within the Q2C technology partner ecosystem.
  • Exposure to AI/ML applications in the Q2C domain, including intelligent pricing, contract risk scoring, usage anomaly detection, or predictive revenue forecasting.
  • Background in high-growth SaaS, technology, or services sectors where Q2C complexity is amplified by rapid product and pricing evolution.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations, Data Analytics, Economics, Technology Management, or a related field is required; MBA, Master’s in Information Systems, Technology Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in Quote to Cash, Revenue Operations, or enterprise technology consulting is required, including 5+ years in senior leadership, practice-building, service line leadership, or equivalent capability-building roles.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end Q2C transformations across process, platform, integration, data, and change management is required.
  • Deep hands-on expertise in Salesforce Revenue Cloud / CPQ is required, with credible fluency across additional Q2C platforms and related ecosystem technologies.
  • Experience leading multi-workstream, multimillion-dollar advisory or implementation programs and managing C-suite or senior executive client relationships is required.
  • Experience building or scaling a consulting practice, service line, or comparable Q2C capability is strongly preferred.
  • Active certifications in one or more Q2C platforms, such as Salesforce CPQ Specialist / Revenue Cloud Consultant, Zuora Billing Certification, or Oracle CPQ Cloud, are preferred.
  • Prior experience as a named Q2C practice leader, principal, managing consultant, or equivalent leader at a recognized consultancy or systems integrator is preferred.
