Capability Engineering Lead - (AWS/ Azure) - (Kubernetes/ CI/ CD/ Platform)

A fantastic new & urgent opportunity to step into a high-visibility, senior technical leadership role for a large logistics company in Austria. You will be responsible for defining the strategic vision, governance, and development plans for our cloud-native platforms.

Rather than managing daily ticket delivery for a single team, your mandate is to build enterprise-wide engineering capabilities that ensure our infrastructure scales smoothly, remains highly secure, and adopts industry-leading automated workflows.

Daily Duties:

• Take full control of the architectural roadmap & implementation strategy for cloud platforms.
• Work with cross-functional teams while providing mentoring and aid to technical team members to streamline platform engineering standards.

Required Skills:

• A strong Linux background is preferred.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Orchestration and automation knowledge, with strong Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD skills.
• C1 German is absolutely necessary for this role.
• Exceptional leadership skills with a proven background leading technical teams.

Salary: starting at €85,000, but this is flexible depending on candidate qualifications/ experience.

Location: this role is hybrid but also has the option to be based fully at the modern HQ in Graz, Austria or remote after probation.
