About the Role
A plaintiff-side securities litigation law firm is seeking an attorney to join its case investigation team. You will help identify and develop potential matters for institutional investors by assessing evidence and evaluating the strength of possible claims before filing.
What You'll Do
Analyze corporate disclosures, SEC filings, earnings announcements, stock price movements, and financial data to evaluate potential securities claims.
Investigate potential matters using public information, conversations with former employees, and other sources to understand what happened.
Use AI tools and data-driven platforms to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and support case evaluation.
Prepare internal memoranda, loss analyses, and client-facing summaries for institutional investors.
Work with portfolio monitoring, data analytics, financial experts, and investigators to assess liability theories.
What We're Looking For
Four to ten years of securities litigation experience, with actual litigation experience; plaintiff-side experience or experience at a large defense firm is relevant.
Experience evaluating or investigating potential securities claims before filing, including familiarity with loss causation, damages analysis, and class period identification.
A JD from an accredited law school and a strong record in complex securities litigation.
Experience with or interest in AI and data-driven tools for legal research and large dataset analysis, along with legal research platforms and SEC filing databases.
Analytical curiosity, creativity in developing case theories, a genuine interest in plaintiff-side work, and a consistent employment history.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $160,000 to $220,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Hybrid role based in Boston, Massachusetts or San Francisco, California, with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday.
