JOB DESCRIPTION

Case Scoper will conduct a thorough, complete and accurate review of SF86 forms by identifying required leads to ensure the background investigation complies with guidelines per Federal Investigative Standards and Trusted Workforce 2.0.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review submitted SF86 and release forms for completeness and content by breaking out investigation elements into geographic areas according to scoping guidelines
  • Create a Letter of Assignment by inputting coverage requirements by lead type in database to initiate fieldwork by investigators and in house Records Technicians
  • Retrieve and prepare necessary investigation documents for use in the field
  • Prevent errors and defects in products by maintaining quality checks on each completed case
  • Remote opportunity
  • Business work hours are Monday-Friday standard core hours, however some extended or weekend hours may be required
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • US Citizenship
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • H.S. Diploma/GED
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instruction furnished in oral, written, diagram, or schedule form
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Good knowledge of U.S. geography and ability to read street maps and understand time/distance concepts
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers or employees
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet, Outlook email and Teams
  • Must have a current (within the last two years) Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or active Security Level Security Clearance based on an SSBI
  • Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university
  • Knowledge of Federal Investigative Standards and Trusted Workforce 2.0
  • Knowledge of the Standard Form 86
