Overview

Ballard House is a founder-led ecommerce company that partners with established brands to scale Amazon operations using our in-house logistics, content creation and advertising infrastructure. Founded in 2017, we began as an Amazon reseller and evolved into our current brand partnership model in 2023, bringing operational excellence to a select portfolio of eight and nine-figure brands.

We are hiring a Catalog Specialist to support our catalog and brand management operations. Working alongside the Catalog Lead, you will be responsible for executing the fundamental backend tasks that keep our Amazon listings accurate, organized, and running smoothly. This includes routine database maintenance, Seller Central updates, basic report pulling, variation setups, flat-file uploads, and drafting and editing listing copy.

This is an entry-level execution role with high growth potential. In a flat team like ours, accuracy and speed speak louder than org charts. Bring solid work ethics, high attention to detail, and a desire to learn, and you’ll grow quickly alongside our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Pull routine catalog, inventory, and performance reports to maintain accurate central database records.
  • Perform routine updates in Amazon Seller Central, including titles, bullet points, backend search terms, and product descriptions.
  • Assist with creating and troubleshooting basic product variation structures and flat-file uploads.
  • Write and edit clear, compliant product listing copy according to brand guidelines and keyword targets.
  • Identify and document catalog errors, listing suppressions, stranded inventory, and other issues for review or escalation.
  • Maintain clean and accurate spreadsheets, databases, and catalog documentation.
  • Follow established SOPs and processes for routine catalog operations.
  • Assist with basic catalog audits and quality checks to ensure listings and data remain accurate.
  • Monitor and appropriately respond to Account Health notifications and Customer Messages.
  • Communicate questions, issues, and completed work clearly with the Catalog Lead and broader team.
  • Learn and gradually take on more advanced Amazon catalog tasks as your skills develop.

Qualifications

  • Entry-level role: No prior e-commerce or Amazon experience required (a willingness to learn quickly and follow established processes is essential).
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational instincts—you naturally double-check your work before submitting it.
  • Comfortable working with basic spreadsheets, Google Sheets, or Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive data entry and administrative tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Able to follow written instructions and established SOPs consistently.
  • Fast learner who takes feedback and direction well.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple simple tasks without losing track of details.
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to ask questions when something is unclear.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new software and online platforms.

This role is for you if:

  • You take pride in high accuracy and double-checking details.
  • You enjoy organizing information and keeping spreadsheets and databases tidy.
  • You are comfortable following established processes while learning how things work.
  • You learn quickly, ask questions when stuck, and take feedback positively.
  • You can work independently once you've been trained on a task.
  • You want to develop real-world skills in Amazon and e-commerce operations.
  • You want a stable, full-time remote career with a growing e-commerce company.
  • You are motivated by the opportunity to grow into more advanced catalog, e-commerce, or operations roles.

Probably not the right fit if you:

  • Dislike repetitive data entry or detail-oriented tasks.
  • Have difficulty following established processes or written instructions.
  • Frequently rush through tasks without checking for errors.
  • Are looking for a role that is primarily strategic rather than execution-focused.
  • Dislike digging through complex flat files or opening Seller Support tickets to resolve glitches.
  • Prefer shipping a project once without continually auditing or improving it.
  • Feel like giving or receiving process feedback is uncomfortable.

Benefits
We invest in people who move the business forward. We offer competitive compensation and a high-trust, high-performance environment where operators can thrive. Perks include:

  • Paid time off and paid holidays
  • 100% remote work flexibility
  • Direct access to company leadership and opportunity to learn Amazon e-commerce ops from scratch
  • Upward mobility into senior specialist or lead roles based on performance

Company Core Values

These aren’t poster values. We use them every day to make decisions. If they match how you operate, you’ll fit right in.

Unimpeachable Character: Be someone others are always proud to associate with, personally and professionally

Open and Honest: Feedback is our fuel to grow

Play to Win: Define what it takes to win, then do it

Always MovingForward: We choose relentless positivity
