CDC Strategy & Capabilities Professional Intern

You will join Nokia's Cyber Security Defense Center (CDC), a key part of Nokia's global Information Security organization. The CDC is responsible for detecting, analysing, and responding to cyber threats across Nokia's worldwide environment. Our teams leverage advanced technologies, threat intelligence, security analytics, and automation to stay ahead of rapidly evolving threats.

Within the CDC, the Strategy & Capabilities Team focuses on defining the future of cyber defence. We identify emerging technologies, assess their potential, and transform innovative ideas into practical capabilities that strengthen Nokia's security posture.

One of our current focus areas is Agentic AI Supported Defence: exploring how AI agents can enhance threat detection, threat hunting, security operations, and decision-making within a modern Security Operations Center (SOC).

• During this internship, you will contribute to the introduction and evaluation of an Agentic AI Supported Defense capability within Nokia's Cyber Security Defense Center.
• Examples of activities include:
  • Exploring industry research, academic papers, and market developments related to AI and cybersecurity
  • Investigating how Agentic AI can support SOC and threat hunting activities
  • Designing and developing prototype solutions and proof-of-concepts
  • Testing and validating AI-driven approaches in realistic scenarios
  • Analysing results and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Implementing selected improvements and measuring their effectiveness
  • Documenting methodologies, findings, and recommendations
  • Presenting your work and insights to cybersecurity professionals and stakeholders

You have/are:

• Currently enrolled as a student in a relevant field
• Demonstrable interest in cybersecurity through studies, personal projects, certifications, competitions, or other activities
• Basic hands-on experience with cloud platforms or cloud-hosted applications
• Exposure to software development and modern technology environments
• Ability to work independently and proactively seek clarification when needed
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Curiosity and determination to understand challenges in depth
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
